JKS completes an interesting Team Liquid roster.
Just out of the 2020 forums, Justin "JKS" Savage joins Team Liquid. The move is part of the team's third rebuild in as many years. With the Australian rifler's signing, the team completes its roster just in time for the BLAST Premier Fall Groups.
Team Liquid JKS: The best move in a bizarre shuffle
Team Liquid's moves in this rostermania have been all over the place. After a couple of underwhelming moves that left pundits confused, JKS' arrival shines as a slam-dunk signing. Despite his dismissal from G2 Esports, the community's reactions at the time said everything about his capability as a player. And G2's performances since have only reinforced his value. Even with the latest roster, JKS' void still hasn't been filled in that roster.
So, for him to walk into Team Liquid, bringing in not only his positive attitude but also his incredible anchor ability is a boon for the NA roster, JKS can be seen as a direct upgrade for Team Liquid over Felipe "skullz" Medeiros. And in an uncertain time with Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken taking over as the in-game leader (IGL), he'll be the ultimate pair of safe hands.

Can Team Liquid level up for Shanghai?
With the major in mind, JKS' signing also gives Team Liquid a path into the North American RMR. That means the team is in good standing to qualify for one of the seven spots at the major. Despite that being a financial windfall for the organization, it doesn't mean the team is immediately better. There are still many questions to answer. Can Twistzz be an IGL? Can Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis return to form after a year of terrible performances? And can Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg and Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak show why they were signed?
Regardless of what happens in Shanghai and beyond, JKS should still become a staple for Team Liquid. YEKINDAR isn't the superstar the team hoped he would be, and with Twistzz and Keith "NAF" Markovic on form, JKS may not drop MVP-caliber numbers, but that stability will elevate Team Liquid.
