A new dawn for North American Counter Strike?
Evil Geniuses has announced the signing of Carpe Diem and Party Astronauts, an initiative that will hopefully rejuvenate the NA CS: GO scene. The org also announced the launch of Blueprint, a small part of its master plan to rejuvenate the ailing North American CS: GO scene. Here’s everything you need to know.
Blueprint is the Evil Genius acknowledgment that North American Counter-Strike is not what it used to be. But with the right scouting and talent development, the region could once again rise to the top of the CS: GO scene, maybe even win a CS: GO Major.
“North American Counter-Strike was once known as the best in the world and it has been too long since the world feared what this region has to offer at the most elite level,” said Nicole LaPointe Jameson, CEO of Evil Geniuses. “We know the strength North America can offer the CS:GO community and Blueprint is the first step in rectifying the past and showing that North America can once again be the home of the world’s best teams.”
As part of this initiative, Evil Geniuses has announced the signing of two of the best NA CS: GO rosters. With the backing of one of the biggest organizations in North America and its resources at their disposal, the players can, hopefully, help NA CS: GO reach the top again.
Which players are part of the Evil Geniuses CS: GO roster?
Evil Geniuses has signed Carpe Diem and Party Astronauts, announcing the first-ever fifteen-person roster in CS: GO. Players from both teams will be housed in Seattle where they will have access to EG’s business data & analytics team.
“Like the LCS staff, Evil Geniuses CS:GO team will have access to Evil Geniuses proprietary tech and data experts that will help share insights with players to improve their game, develop strategies that specifically target opponents weaknesses and create training regiments that help build team chemistry and improve competitive outcomes.”
Along with the players, the coaching staff of Carpe Diem and Party Astronauts will also join the Evil Geniuses CS: GO roster.
“Blueprint is a completely new idea for pro Counter-Strike that once again puts Evil Geniuses at the forefront of North American player development and training,” said Chris DeAppolonio, Chief Innovation Officer at Evil Geniuses.
Inspiration for this model comes from the EG’s experience in League of Legends. The team fields two Academy rosters in the LCS and they recently won the LCS Spring 2022 after a 3-0 victory over 100Thieves.
