Deadlock has some new updates for the Halloween season.

Deadlock is a game that its players are used to near-daily patches through its early access period, but it got a Halloween update today that is much different than the rest. The new update sets the scene for the spooky holiday season, which is a perfect fit in the Art Deco aesthetic. Here's more on what all you can expect in the Deadlock Halloween update.

Full Deadlock Halloween update details

The Halloween patch for Deadlock provided a seasonal visual update, adding the following assets to the game:

  • Jungle monsters now have pumpkin heads
  • All players are wearing a random mask over their hero's face
  • Jack-O-Lanterns were added around the map, replacing the breakable golden statues
  • The Baroness Hotel has a new updated look

All of these changes can be seen in the gallery below that were taken in a bot match, courtesy of esports.gg.

Outside of the visual changes, there doesn't seem to be anything added to the game in terms of balance or other additional content. This makes sense, however, considering that Deadlock has just added six new heroes to the game, alongside a slew of other balance changes this month. This patch is now available to download and will affect the visual state of both ranked and casual matches.

Will Deadlock feature more seasonal content?

Deadlock devs have not said whether or not the game will mimic others like Overwatch 2 or League of Legends in implementing themed-seasonal updates. But, this Halloween update suggests that fans can expect at least a small visual tweak to celebrate the seasons and holidays. Once the game is fully released, it is likely that these will be more fleshed out.
