Nouns Esports has announced a roster of six for Valve’s Deadlock, being the first notable organization to officially enter the game.

Nouns Esports has made name for itself in many esports titles, like Counter-Strike, Dota 2, and even the Pokémon Unite MOBA. That success, of course, sees them branching out to other titles at times. Next up for Nouns, in this case, is Deadlock.

They are the first reputable esports organization to announce the signing a team for Valve's Deadlock. Some smaller tournaments have popped up, but with the game in a Playtest state, there's been no communication regarding official esports support.

Still, it is exciting to see an org invest in such a new title. One that everyone thinks has the legs to last for quite some time.

Nouns signs a six player Deadlock roster

This is a great sign for Deadlock in terms of competitive player. Hopefully Nouns has started the trend and other teams will follow suit. Of course, others have created Deadlock official pages, such as Heroic, but there have been no other signings thus far.

Nouns Esports is the first and they've got a team of players looking to make a name for themselves. Here are the players joining the org:

  • bungus
  • et
  • OPP
  • l0ckj4w
  • cruise
  • PoofikCat

The announcement graphic perhaps showcased the players' main character they use in Deadlock, and will use as part of Nouns. There's Lash, Mo and Krill, Dynamo, Pocket, Infernus, and Lady Geist. They've all got some cool shades on, too.

Right now, Deadlock is a 6v6 MOBA with just one map. You push down lanes, fight Creeps, gather Souls, battle enemy players, take down Guardians, and get to their base to destroy the Shrines and eventually defeat the Patron.

Expect metas and team comps to shift with updates to the game and any new maps or heroes added. Until then, we're excited to see what kind of precedent this Nouns Esports team can bring to Deadlock as an early org going all in.
