The Glacioclasm god roll is waiting for you this Dawning.

Destiny 2's The Dawning brings with it some of the game's most powerful weapons, and all available for free to grind during the end-of-year holidays. One such weapon is Glacioclasm, which has numerous god rolls for you to hunt.

Here's a look at the Glacioclasm god roll in Destiny 2, including perk lists and how to get your own copy of this popular fusion rifle.

What is the Glacioclasm god roll in Destiny 2?

Glacioclasm is personally one of my favorite special weapons ever made in Destiny 2. That's thanks to a great selection of perks, and while the pool for this edition of the weapon has been refreshed, there may be a better god roll than before with these new perks.

I'm leaning toward Overflow and one of the "burst" perks here. Overflow grants extra ammo in the magazine when picking up a special or heavy ammo brick. This combos well with Controlled Burst, which increases damage and speeds up charge time when landing every bolt in a shot.

Alternatively, make this the ultimate boss and add-clear combo weapon with Reservoir Burst. The damage bonus is similar to Controlled Burst, plus the explosion on kill will help clear multiple enemies who are grouped up. Overflow grants extra shots of Reservoir Burst without reloading the weapon manually.

There are many more awesome perks for Glacioclasm. Envious Assassin serves the same purpose as Overflow (as long as you kill enemies with other weapons), Subsistence keeps ammo fed as you get kills (better with Reservoir Burst), Air Trigger for super-speedy manual reloads — there are heaps of rolls catering to all playstyles.

The strength of Glacioclasm is it's versatility in PvE and PvP. Much like its original version, the perks Under Pressure and Slideshot are both amazing in the Crucible for the Glacioclasm.

In the second column, it's hard to look past Closing Time. Combined with either of the above perks, you'll easily reach that maximum range capability for this fusion rifle.

Be sure to focus on range for both the masterwork and the weapon mod — via Ballistics, ideally. Alternate options for column two include High-Impact Reserves or Vorpal Weapon, but keep in mind you're sacrificing range and consistency for more close-up damage.

How to get Glacioclasm in Destiny 2

Glacioclasm is available during the Dawning event in Destiny 2. This year's edition saw Glacioclasm return to the Dawning loot pool with new perks and origin traits. The Dawning 2024 will wrap up in early January, so you've got a little time to get your hands on one.

You'll be able to unlock weapon focusing for Glacioclasm by completing this year's Yarn Maker event card. To do this, equip a Strand weapon or a Strand subclass and rack up some kills. Once complete, spend your Gifts in Return and Dawning Spirit at Eva Levante for a copy of Glacioclasm with random perks.

This weapon cannot be crafted. You can access enhanced perks once you have leveled the weapon up.
