Yes, but he answer might disappoint you.

Valve released the 7.31 patch update much to the delight of thousands of Dota 2 fans eagerly refreshing Twitter and Reddit. The new patch update has a new hero, several new items and neutral creeps. There’s a lot to unpack in the new update but here are all the map changes in the Dota 2 7.31 update.

On February 19, Valve had announced the release date for the new patch. The 7.31 Dota 2 patch released on February 23 and the new hero has been dominating the conversation.

Valve also reworked Techies and we might at some point see Techies used in tournaments more often.

There's some changes, but it's not what you expect.

Fans were expecting significant changes to the map in 7.31. Some players were even speculating a second objective on the other side of the river.

Unfortunately, that was not the case as Valve has made almost no map changes. The 7.31 map remains eerily similar to the previous map.

However, there is one significant change that will alter the way teamfights take place before the starting horn. While the number of bounty runes remains the same, the new update changes the location of two of the starting bounty runes.

Dire and Radiant Offlane Towers moved

The Dire and Radiant offlane towers have been moved slightly away from the base.
The Dire and Radiant offlane towers have been moved slightly away from the base.

The Dire and Radiant offlane towers 320 units further away from base. This means you can TP closer to the fight on the offlane. It is really helpful when trying to TP to the offlane to help in teamfights.

Changes to Bounty Rune locations

In every game, just as the starting horn blows, four bounty rtunes appear on the map. Previously, the bounty runes used to appear as follows: Two on the river and two near the respective ancients.

There will be no bounty runes near the ancients anymore. Instead bounty runes will spawn near the outposts. So in the new update, bounty runes appear as follows:

  • Two Bounty runes on the two sides of the river
  • Two Bounty Runes near the outposts.

Are Water Runes still available in Dota 2 7.31?

Water Runes still spawn at the 2 and 4 minute mark. The new patch has surprisingly made no changes to the mid lane.

Yes, Valve has surprisingly made little to no changes to the midlane despite several players wishing for some changes. Important to note is that the Water runes will continue to spawn on both sides of the river at the 2:00 and 4:00 minute marks. These are all the map changes in 7.31 but the hero and item changes are sure to keep the game very interesting in the next few days.
