Southeast Asia, brace yourselves! The third Dota 2 Major of the year is coming to Bali, Indonesia. IO Esports, the official host will be collaborating with EPULZE to deliver the 2023 Bali Major, the first Major in the nation. They have just revealed the complete Bali Major dates and venue. More details below!

When is the 2023 Bali Major?

IO Esports revealed that Bali Major will take place from June 29 - July 9, 2023. The Main Event will host a live audience during the three final days of the tournament, July 7 - 9.

Where is the Bali Major venue?

The Bali Major venue is at the Ayana Estate in Bali, Indonesia. The Ayana Estate is a massive, 5-star resort located near the beach. The event will be held at the Champa Garden in an outdoor setting. This location has a maximum capacity of 1500+ attendees according to Ayana Resort's site. However, IO Esports has not disclosed the number of seats and tickets sold.

IO Esports dropped the announcement trailer, showcasing Dota 2 heroes arriving in Bali, Indonesia. Check out the trailer below!

The Bali Major format has been revealed

IO Esports announced the format for Bali Major. As per usual, eighteen teams will be divided into two groups of nine each. They'll clash in a BO2 format. The top 4 of each group advance to the Upper Bracket, the 5th-6th advance to the Lower Bracket, and the bottom three will be eliminated.

Playoffs begin on July 5, in the usual double-elimination bracket. Eight teams start from the Upper Bracket and four at the Lower Bracket.

More details yet to be revealed

So far, this is the only information by IO Esports. Bali Major will come right after the Tour 3 DPC Regional Leagues end which is about two months from now. The second Dota 2 Major of the year, the Berlin Major will kickstart tomorrow, April 26, 2023.
