Valve has defined a new effect – Knockback in Dota 2.

In the middle of late-night Dota 2 hours (at least in NA), Valve decides to drop a pretty sizable patch. The 7.36b patch has quick a large amount of changes in it. Thankfully the changes are mostly minor tweaks here and there to the many Facets of heroes. Although the patch is pretty big, there's no need to worry, here's a recap of the biggest changes of patch 7.36b.

Knockback and Forced Movement

There’s a new key difference between forced movement and a new effect called Knockback in patch 7.36b. Forced movement is considered any effect that forcibly moves a unit. On the other hand, Knockback is any effect that pushes or pulls a unit at a fixed distance. The full list of the abilities that are considered Knockback is below.
