Unfortunately, the ESL One Malaysia will miss a star player. NGX just announced that Miracle- is unable to attend the event due to health issues. Indonesian player, Dreamocel will serve as Miracle-‘s stand-in.

Nigma Galaxy (NGX) just announced that its carry player, Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi will not be able to play at the upcoming ESL One Malaysia due to health issues. This is definitely heartbreaking news for fans that were looking forward to seeing the Jordanian prodigy play on the stage of Genting. As for now, NGX has not revealed the stand-in for Miracle-. However, we can anticipate the announcement soon as the tournament begins shortly on August 22nd.

UPDATE: Randy "Dreamocel" Sapoetra has been announced as the stand-in for Miracle-.

As arguably the most popular Dota 2 player of all time, Miracle-'s absence would be dampening for a lot of fans. The ESL One Malaysia would be NGX's first LAN event with SumaiL on the roster. Unsurprisingly, all eyes are on the full TI-winner lineup, especially after an undefeated performance in Division II last season. But this event will see NGX fielding a stand-in.

Who will stand in for NGX at the ESL One Malaysia?

UPDATE: Nigma Galaxy just revealed that popular Indonesian streamer, Dreamocel will fill in Miracle-'s shoes at the ESL One Malaysia.

As for now, NGX has not revealed the ESL One Malaysia stand-in for Miracle-. Since the tournament begins soon and it is in the SEA region, we would definitely be seeing someone from SEA fill in Miracle-'s shoes.

In the past few Dota 2 tournaments, one player has been actively collecting jerseys as a stand-in and it is the two-time TI winner, Anathan "ana" Pham. However, he is now playing full-time for T1 as its carry player. Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, on the other hand, is now a stand-in for T1. We might see him play for NGX and swap places with Syed "SumaiL" Hassan.

However, these are all speculations. It is also more likely that NGX brings coach Roman "rmN-" Paley to stand in as they did in previous instances.
