The tournament concludes the first half of Brawlhalla Esports Year Nine. It’s the first inter-regional tournament of 2024.

Brawlhalla has introduced a new format of the esports schedule this year. We still can enjoy quite a few online tournaments in the main region. However, witnessing the best players from all over the globe competing together is a rare and exciting opportunity! There will be only two Royale Invitationals this year. Competitors earned standing points throughout the Winter Circle 2024 for a chance to be crowned as the Spring Brawlhalla King.

Winter Circle Royale: Format

This Brawlhalla esports tournament consists of two stages:

  • Round Robin Stage: All 12 participants play against each other. The top 5 players proceed further. The 6th spot is reserved for a gauntlet competition or last chance qualifier (LCQ).
  • Playoffs: The top 4 players from Round Robin are seeded to the winners bracket semifinals. The 5th player from the first stage and the LCQ winner start from the losers bracket quarterfinal.

Brawlhalla Spring Royale 2024: Results

As the tournament is already over, we can highlight its results in this section. Let’s take a look at all the stages.

Round Robin

No player had an absolutely clear run here — which is pretty understandable, considering the competitive power of every participant. Lores had the best result at the end of Round Robin: nine victories and two losses. The other players who qualified for the top 6 part are Godly, Kyna, Sandstorm, Skeldra.

Five players still had a chance to earn the one remaining spot: Guichabou, Neeze, yüz, Mounir, and Raydish. Two players were eliminated from the Spring Royale 2024 after Round Robin: java, and Wess.

Playoffs

Before moving to the top 6 part, five players fought for one last spot. In the redemption brackets, we could see the following matches:

Mounir had such an epic run! He defeated four super tough opponents and brought the decisive match to Game 5, but Guichabou dominated in the most important fight — and it was he who could proceed to the top 6.

Two South American competitors played against two of the most legendary Brawlhalla players in the parallel semi-finals: lores vs Sandstorm and Godly vs Kyna. While lores had to fight for his victory, defeating his opponent only in Game 5, Kyna looked much more confident in his match. Then, with a similar mood, Kyna defeated lores in the upper bracket final.

Godly vs Sandstorm was another very interesting match in the top 6, as these players rarely face each other. This time, Godly won. Still, the European champion could do almost nothing against lores in the loser bracket final.

In the grand final, Kyna dominated from the very first stock. It looked like his every hit landed successfully. Sure lores resisted stubbornly, despite having early KOs. After Game 2, lores switched to Koji, abandoning Kaya for the first time in the playoffs. Nope, that did not work. Highly damaging weapons of Teros in the Roman Reigns skin still built the advantage for Kyna quite quickly.

The best in South America and the best Brawlhalla player in the world — Kyna is the Spring Royale 2024 Champion. Congratulations!

Spring Royale 2024: Viewership rewards

It was certainly better to choose Twitch as the streaming platform for the Spring Royale. If you connected your game and Twitch accounts, you were able to earn some cool cosmetic items as viewership rewards. The system counted your watched hours and unlocked a few reward tiers.

The items for the Brawlhalla Esports Spring Royale 2024 included:

  • Three Esports Colors v4 for random Legends
  • The in-game title “Spring Cleaning”
  • A Magic Orb weapon skin

Godly

This guy is the best Brawlhalla player in Europe. In 2024, Godly won every single qualifier of the Winter Circle 2024.

Skeldra

The highest placement for Skeldra in Brawlhalla Esports Winter Circle 2024 was reaching the grand final at the Trial of Skadi — but he lost to Godly. Also, the player was in the top 3 at the Trial of Ymir and the Trial of Baldr.

Neeze

He is a really strong Brawlhalla player who reached top placements in both 1v1 and 2v2 competitions. Neeze was 3rd at the Trial of Frigg and 2nd at the Trial of Baldr.

Mounir

This player reached 2nd place at the Trial of Frigg and was in the top 3 at a couple of other qualifiers for Winter Circle 2024.

Europe is a tough region for Brawlhalla players because Godly is there. Still, such a mighty opponent makes everyone stronger. It would be interesting to see how the top competitors perform on the international scene this year.

Kyna

This player reached the grand final in Brawlhalla World Championship 2023, which is quite an achievement. To qualify for the Spring Royale 2024, Kyna won three qualifiers. He was 3rd only at the Trial of Skadi.

yüz

It’s great to see the World Champion 2023 performing well this season too. yüz won the Trial of Skadi and was 2nd at the Trial of Baldr.

Wess

He often reaches the Royale Invitationals and always is a dangerous opponent. In Winter Circle 2024, Wess played in the Trial of Ymir grand final, and he was in the top 3 of two other qualifiers.

lores

The performance of lores was somewhat shaky this competitive season, but the player was 2nd and 3rd in two qualifiers.

South America exploded with Brawlhalla power last year. Players from this region looked amazing at inter-regional tournaments. Can this trend continue in 2024?

Sandstorm

As a competitive Brawlhalla region, North America appears to be somewhat better balanced. Still, Sandstorm won two of the Trials: Frigg and Skadi.

Raydish

The player won the Trial of Ymir. Raydish was 2nd and 3rd in two other qualifiers.

Guichabou

This competitor has been performing unexpectedly great so far in Brawlhalla esports. Guichabou is the winner of the Trial of Baldr, with 2nd and 3rd placements at two other tournaments.

Java

Java did not win any of the Trials, but he was 2nd in two of them: Ymir and Baldr.

North America dominated the Brawlhalla global esports scene for quite a while. However, recently, the players have often been unable to reach the top spot at international events. Spring Royale 2024 should show if this situation helped the region grow and return to its proper glory.
