Twitch has begun its "$50k Twitch Rivals: Road to TwitchCon" Fortnite tournament. Chosen competitors over the next few months will have a chance to win a piece of the $50,000 USD prize pool.

Twitch Rivals begins its $50k tournament with Fortnite Zero Build
The "Road to TwitchCon" tournament starts its first tournament today, June 11. The tournament series will have four parts, spanning across three separate regions. Each event played will be in the "Fortnite: Zero Build" mode.
The regions able to compete within this tournament series are:
- North America
- Latin America
- Europe, Middle East, and Africa
Each tournament series will be one lobby, made up of 32 trios. Players competing received official invites from Twitch and will be able to compete in all of the four weekends.

The $50,000 prize pool, split up amongst the regions, will reward the first place with $7,500 and an invite to TwitchCon: San Diego.
The official dates of each tournament series are:
- June 11 & 12
- July 27 & 28
- August 23 & 25
- September 14 & 15
The dates for TwitchCon: San Diego is October 7-9. Presumably, TwitchCon will be having its own Fortnite: Zero Build tournament where players can also compete.
