2Pac’s iconic California Love has become a Fortnite Emote!

The late rapper Tupac Shakur has officially made his Fortnite debut alongside frequent collaborator Dr. Dre amid the rap-inspired Chapter 2 Remix season. With Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD appearing, Epic Games has expanded this Fortnite season's theme, adding an Emote based on the iconic song "California Love" to the game. Here is the origin of this Emote and how you can unlock it.

How to unlock the California Love Fortnite Emote

You can grab this Emote via the in-game Fortnite Item Shop or Web Shop for just 500 V-Bucks, the standard price for Icon Series Emotes. Once you purchase it, the Emote is yours forever and you can add it to your preferred Emotes via your Locker. The value on the California Love Fortnite dance is worthwhile, seeing as the music track lasts much longer than others. It would pair nicely one the various Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Ice Spice Emotes.

What is the origin of this Emote?

The song played in the Emote is called California Love, performed by 2Pac ft. Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman. It debuted in 1995 and earned dozens of accolades, making it one of the best rap songs ever. Rolling Stone proclaimed it one of the 500 greatest songs of all time and it even received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1997.

Since Snoop Dogg is a focal point of the current Fortnite season, it only makes sense for a California Love Emote to join in on the fun. For the cheap price of 500 V-Bucks, you can't go wrong with this purchase. You only have until Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. ET to purchase it. When the shop resets on that day, Epic Games will temporarily remove the Emote.
