Where we droppin, Homer?

Fortnite's next season is no longer a secret, and it really wasn't to begin with anyway. Reports back in the summer indicated a season based on The Simpsons would happen in November. That is all but confirmed, and we have our first look at the first-ever Simpsons-inspired Fortnite map thanks to leakers.

This article provides a look at the map, along with some points of interest (POIs) we already know will appear on it come Nov. 1.

Our first look at the Fortnite x The Simpsons map

This leak surfaced via Jorge_Most, a relatively well-known figure in the Fortnite scene. Unfortunately, the map doesn't have any named locations, but the layout, combined with what we know about The Simpsons, will steer us in the right direction.

For example, the spot in the upper-right corner is the easiest of them all: that's the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant where Homer Simpson works. Right beside that is likely Lake Springield, which appears beside the Power Plant in the show and produces some fascinating creatures.

Another straightforward POI is on the western side of the map, which is more than likely Evergreen Terrace—the area where you can find the Simpsons' and Flanders' residences. The rest are a little less clear, but an X account named ClickTheBender provided a complete list of POI guesses.

Here are some of the spots this account highlighted:

  • Old Simpsons Farm (upper-left corner)
  • Kamp Krusty (to the left of Lake Springield)
  • Springfield Gorge (the sandy area to the right of the farm)
  • Springfield Square (grassy patch in the center of the map)
  • Professor Frink's Lab (lower-right corner)
  • The School (far right side)
  • Duff Brewery (above The School)

Two other specific buildings we can expect are the Kwik-E-Mart and Moe's Tavern. Otherwise, the list above provides a rough idea of what the Fortnite Simpsons season map will entail.

A too-early review based on what we know about the map

While the season clearly pays homage to The Simpsons in detail, the map looks much smaller than what we've seen before. This appears not to be a re-skinned version of the current Chapter 6 Season 4 map. Instead, it's a smaller map for a shorter Fortnite season, unlike the Star Wars season.

It will be interesting to see how this map plays and how players react to it. The Simpsons is not necessarily an IP that resonates with Fortnite's demographic, but it could be an eye-opener to a new generation of Simpsons fans.

Ultimately, we'll have to wait and see as more details come to light ahead of the season's expected Nov. 1 release date!
