Could it really happen? Could the Black Knight skin return to Fortnite?
Fortnite OG Season 2 is finally live. For the next two months, you can enjoy dropping Tilted Towers and the latest Battle Pass associated with the OG Fortnite experience. Even the Black Knight skin returned, but unfortunately, it was not the original version. Many fans are wondering if the OG Black Knight is coming back to Fortnite.
The chances may be slim, but it is possible. Here is everything we know about this situation.
Is Black Knight coming back to Fortnite?
The Fortnite OG Season 2 Battle Pass introduced "Remixed" versions of three skins that debuted in Chapter 1 Season 2. Those skins include Sparkle Specialist, Cuddle Team Leader, and, of course, Black Knight. However, one of these is unlike the others, as the Black Knight has eluded many diehard Fortnite fans.
Debuting in the Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 2 Battle Pass, Black Knight is the ultimate flex for OG players. Formerly, it was Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper until Epic Games brought both skins back in Chapter 6 Season 1. Epic Games has provided a minor indication that the Black Knight could come back to Fortnite.
The lone evidence lies within the Fortnite OG Season 2 trailer, which showcased gameplay and Battle Pass skins. In a blink-and-miss-it moment, the teaser depicted the original Sparkle Specialist Outfit. This skin appeared alongside Black Knight in the Chapter 1 Season 2 Battle Pass, but why does that matter?
As X user Char_Personal points out, the text in the trailer read "IT'S ALL BACK" before showing the original Sparkle Specialist skin. As a result, fans are buying into the slight chance that the OG Season 2 skins will return.
A similar situation played out in the Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1 gameplay trailer, where the words "The OG" flashed across the screen before the classic Renegade Raider skin. It's not much, but it could be a pattern showing that all classic Fortnite Outfits, including Black Knight, could return.

Unfortunately, we won't know until Epic Games shows its hand. It took until Dec. 18 for the Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper rumors to ramp up. It could be several days or weeks before we learn more about the Black Knight skin coming back to Fortnite.
