Fortnite is present in the Jeffrey Epstein files and some have concluded that the deceased criminal recently played the game.

The recent release of millions of files related to the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein investigation shockingly featured many well-known video games. One such game was Fortnite, in what appeared to be a V-Bucks purchase from back in 2019.

Upon further investigation, file reviewers discovered an account linked to Jeffrey Epstein that led many to believe the convicted child sex offender and human trafficker was still alive and actively playing the game. Epic Games has since explained the situation.

Is Jeffrey Epstein actively playing Fortnite?

According to the Fortnite development team, Jeffrey Epstein's alleged account, named "littlestjeff1," belongs to someone else entirely. Fortnite Status responded to the developing story, calling this a "ruse" by a player who changed their name after the release of the Epstein Files.

What's this story all about?

For those who don't know, one of the many revelations in the Jeffrey Epstein files linked him to a Fortnite V-Bucks purchase from 2019. The username "littlestjeff1," a reference to Epstein's private island "Little Saint James," also appeared in files associated with the deceased criminal's YouTube account.

Internet sleuths began unraveling details supposedly linking this username to an Epic Games account that recently played Fortnite and Rocket League. Based on the Rocket League Tracker website, this account played the game as recently as three days ago. The account was also active in Fortnite last year.

Epic Games issued an official response, explaining, "We have no record of the subject's email addresses referenced in the public document existing in the Epic account system. Since the public document releases, people have created Fortnite accounts with similar-looking email addresses and user names."

Strangely enough, the littlestjeff1 account is now private when searched for on the Fortnite Tracker website, which has fueled even more conspiracy theories that Epstein is still alive, playing games somewhere.

The post that Fortnite Status responded to has been deleted following Epic Games' clarification. While a weird situation without a doubt, Jeffrey Epstein had connections to many games beyond Fortnite.

It's impossible to say whether someone indeed changed their name to littlestjeff1 after the publication of Epstein's YouTube account.

However, Epic Games says there is no association, and CEO Tim Sweeney said, "someone's been having fun renaming their Fortnite account."
