Friendship, confidence, and victory. Here is how The Milk Cup brings players together and strengthens the community around competitive Fortnite.
The Milk Cup 2025 Finals tournament kicks off soon, and the stakes are high as the top 50 women Fortnite duos must duke it out for the lion's share of $210,000 USD. Among the fierce competition are XSET players Moxie and Regs, and esports.gg chatted with them about the Fortnite action ahead.
Moxie and Regs enter The Milk Cup 2025 Finals
In an interview with esports.gg, Regs and Moxie revealed that their biggest competition is themselves. That is, whenever they jump into a game and are playing well, they believe that they have what it takes to win it all.
"Our biggest competition is our mindset," Regs said. "To be honest, if we go to the game and we play good, we can win. So I think our biggest competition is ourselves."
Last year, the duo worked with a coach for about two or three weeks leading up to the inaugural LAN Finals. That guidance helped them stay focused and ultimately take home the gold alongside Daya. This year, however, Moxie said they’re competing without a coach. Rather, they're talking with a player who shares ideas with them.

How the Milk Cup builds friendships within and outside of the competition
Moxie and Regs' friendship also has an important role in their gameplay. In a previous interview with esports.gg, Moxie credited the team's close friendship and ability to laugh together as the reason for the ability to be on top of their game.
That's all for now. The Fortnite esports action begins on Oct. 18 at 11:30 a.m. PT, and those at TwitchCon San Diego can tune in live on the tournament's dedicated stage. Meanwhile, folks supporting the teams from home can visit Gonna Need Milk's Twitch channel.
