It looks as if OG Fortnite will not have Duos or Trios upon release, but why?

Love playing Fortnite with your friends? Well, with OG Fortnite about to release, gamers may be sad to hear that the game mode will not have Duos or Trios upon release. Why is this, though?

OG Fortnite to not have Duos or Trios upon release

In Fortnite's recent blog post, the popular Battle Royale specified that only Solos and Squads will be available for OG Fortnite upon release.

The game added no context or hints as to when Duos and Trios would be added, but they did not specify that they wouldn't be in the game. It just may take a bit. The game did say that Chapter 1, Season 1 will end at the end of January, so hopefully we get the two game modes added before then.

Fortnite also mentioned that OG Fortnite tournaments would be happening soon, but no specific game mode was mentioned. With duos being the main competitive mode in 2025, maybe we will have duos in OG Fortnite by the time the tournaments are added.

Hopefully, the game chooses to add Duos or Trios in due time, as those are two of the most popular game modes in Fortnite.

Will there be Zero Build?

While Zero Build was not around during Chapter 1, Fortnite understands that many players love the game mode and would prefer to play OG Fortnite without builds. So yes, Zero Build will be available in OG Fortnite.

The game added extra Ziplines and Ascenders to help players get around the map easier and avoid fights. With no Port-a-Bunkers in the game, it will be difficult for Zero Build gamers to hide or seek shelter.
