Head to DreamHack Summer for the $200,000 StarCraft II finals in Sweden

While still being held at DreamHack this year, the DreamHack StarCraft II Masters has been officially rebranded to the ESL StarCraft II Masters. This does not change the atmosphere though, as players are still gearing up for some heavy competition.

The first Masters will take place during the beginning of the summer of 2023. Online regionals will be held from May 2 to May 21. Finals will then take place from June 16 to 18 at DreamHack Summer in Sweden.

Not only is this a great travel opportunity for the players, but the event will also have a $200,000 prize pool; setting an example for other esports tournaments.

The competition does not end there though. This winter, StarCraft II players will be able to take part in another online regionals from October 31 to November 19 of 2023.

Those who qualify will face off at DreamHack Atlanta from December 15 to 17 in Atlanta, Georgia. The competition will also provide another $200,000 prize pool.

The 2024 EPT Championship is underway

The top players who participated in the Regionals events will then have the opportunity to face off in the 2024 StarCraft II EPT Championship. All events are open to everyone around the world to participate.

“EFG is committed to the StarCraft II and RTS community,” said Michael Van Driel, VP of Game Ecosystems, at ESL FACEIT Group. “Earlier this year at IEM Katowice, Li “Oliveira” Peinan showed the world what it means to win the Championship title."
