Free Fire has joined the list of titles for the Esports World Cup later this year. The Free Fire tournament will have a sizeable prize pool of a million USD. Here’s all we know about the Esports World Cup Free Fire competition.

Free Fire joins the Esports World Cup games list

Free Fire is the latest game to join the list of Esports World Cup titles. The teams will compete in the event and there’s more than just the massive prize pool, the event will also serve as a stepping stone for Free Fire World Series 2024 Global Finals. 

The Free Fire World Cup will see eighteen teams competing for glory. Teams from all over the world can qualify for the Esports World Cup via qualifier slots. The division of slots from each region is as follows:

  • FFWS SEA Spring - 8 teams
  • FFWS LATAM - 3 teams
  • FFWS Brazil - 3 teams
  • Snapdragon Pro Series- 2 teams
  • MEA Qualifier - 1 team
  • PK Qualifier - 1 team

The Free Fire World Cup will take place across two stages - the first Group stage and then the Playoffs. The tournament starts on July 10 and will continue for three days through the group stage. The next stage takes place over the next two days ending on July 14, 2024.

  • Group Stage: July 10 to 12
  • Finals: July 13 and 14

The tournament will take place across five days starting on March 22, 2024. After five days of intense competition, the Free Fire World Cup will come to an end on March 26, 2024. 

The Free Fire World Series will take place later this year in November in Brazil. The event will see the best Free Fire teams competing to establish themselves as the best FreeFire team in the world.

Announced by Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Esports World Cup 2024 marks Saudi Arabia's ambitious leap into becoming a global gaming hub. Envisioned to be the largest of its kind, it promises an unmatched prize pool in esports history, aiming to blend competitive gaming with a vibrant festival atmosphere. The tournament will feature a cross-game competition structure, celebrating the world of gaming with various activities. While the full official games list remains under wraps, anticipation is high for what's described as a showcase of the world's most popular games across all key genres​​​​​​.
