Genshin Impact version 4.6 update adds Arlecchino and more

The Genshin Impact version 4.6 update is now live, adding a lot of new content. The Knave of the Fatui, Arlecchino, is now a playable character and Teyvat expands once more with this update.

This Genshin Impact update features new content and events that even long-time players can enjoy. Primogems will be rewarded by accomplishing the events, and the new story quests introduce a new character that will be playable soon. Find out what's new in Genshin Impact 4.6 here.

Arlecchino is being added as a playable character in this update. She was first mentioned by name in version 2.4 back in early 2022. She also played a major part in Fontaine's Archon Quest, prompting her first in-game appearance in version 4.1.

Arlecchino's kit revolves around the Bond of Life mechanic that was previously a debuff afflicted by enemies. As a result, this will prevent other party members from healing her. Arlecchino can heal herself for a massive amount using her Elemental Burst to work around this.

Her banner will be live until May 14, 2024.

The Ditto-shaped hole between Fontaine, Sumeru, and Liyue has now been occupied by the Nostoi Region! Inside of the region is a small island called "Petrichor," but it has an underwater area, too — much like the rest of Fontaine.

All players who completed Archon Quest Prologue: Act III "Song of the Dragon and Freedom" will see a Teleport Waypoint unlocked in the area as soon as they update.

The Genshin Impact version 4.6 update adds new equipment into the game. This includes a new weapon and two new artifact sets.

Crimson Moon's Semblance is a new five-star polearm and is Arlecchino's signature weapon. This weapon also has a special effect when wielded by Arlecchino where it changes its appearance into a scythe.

Ashen Sun's Shadow: Grants a Bond of Life equal to 25% of Max HP when a Charged Attack hits an opponent. This effect can be triggered up to once every 14s. In addition, when the equipping character has a Bond of Life, they gain a 12/16/20/24/28% DMG Bonus; if the value of the Bond of Life is greater than or equal to 30% of Max HP, then gain an additional 24/32/40/48/56% DMG Bonus.

Both of these artifact sets can be acquired from the Domain in the new Nostoi Region.

Some of the events for Genshin Impact 4.6 were teased during the previous livestream. This includes the main event for this version, "Iridescent Arataki Rockin' For Life Tour De Force Of Awesomeness."

There are new enemies in this version, too!

The Knave is also becoming a weekly boss on top of being a playable character. This is a new weekly Trounce Domain that can be unlocked by completing Arlecchino's Story Quest - Ignis Purgatorius Chapter: Act I "When the Hearth-Flame Goes Out."

Like her playable version, this version of the Knave also revolves around the Bond of Life mechanic. You will need to heal your team to cleanse yourself of the debuff, or else you will take continuous damage.

The Legatus Golem is a new field boss located underneath the Petrichor island in the new Nostoi Region. Bring Geo characters to effectively wear down this enemy.
