DreamHack is set to return to Atlanta in 2026 for another unforgettable celebration of gaming, esports, and community.
The action returns to the Georgia World Congress Center in 2026 for another exciting edition of DreamHack Atlanta. Next year’s event will bring major esports competitions back to the big stage, including IEM Atlanta EPT Masters and CDL Major III.
What happened to DreamHack Dallas?
The DreamHack Atlanta 2026 event will take place from May 15 to 17. Typically, this is the time frame for DreamHack Dallas. However, as the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center undergoes renovations in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the gaming festival will temporarily move from Texas to Atlanta.
“After that, and until 2029, it will undergo a major expansion to renovate the venue and surrounding areas. We couldn’t be happier to see our partners at the KBHCC getting a well-deserved upgrade,” the organization stated in its press release.
Atlanta and the convention center are the longest-running active home of DreamHack. "As a city with a long history and legacy of gaming communities, it was a natural choice to bring the spirit of all of our past US festivals into one place and one festival in Atlanta in May next year."

So far, three major tournaments have been confirmed for DreamHack Atlanta 2026, promising an exciting weekend of top-tier esports competition. Alongside the IEM Atlanta EPT Masters and CDL Major III, a Halo event will also take the stage for fans to enjoy.
