Fans are speculating whether or not a mysterious countdown on Amazon’s Fallout website means a Fallout 3 remaster.

It is no secret that Amazon’s Fallout TV show is an absolute hit. It’s newest season (season two) takes place in New Vegas, throwing around quite a few Easter eggs from the game. However, Amazon Prime TV has released a Fallout countdown on its website, which is leading some to believe we will be getting a Fallout 3 (or New Vegas) remaster when the clock strikes zero.

Fallout 3 remaster in the works? Many speculate over Amazon countdown

The countdown on Amazon’s Fallout website ends the day season two’s finale airs, which is February 4, 2026. However, many are speculating whether or not the franchise is also planning on releasing a remaster of Fallout 3.

Rumors circling the Fallout 3 remaster first began months ago when the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remaster dropped, leaving fans in shock. Many devs hinted at a Fallout 3 remaster being in the work, and some even gave hints at a Fallout: New Vegas remaster.

The Oblivion remaster did numbers in its first day, so it would make complete sense to see them push out a quick remaster of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, as it takes very little resources on their side. It is literally a gold mine.

And if you are a fan of the Fallout series, you know that Fallout 3 and New Vegas are the two best games in the entire franchise. And what better way to release the remaster than it being alongside the show’s season two finale?

Xbox’s 25th anniversary is here

Another note to add to the circling speculation revolving around a Fallout 3 and New Vegas remaster is the fact that it is Xbox’s 25th anniversary, Bethesda is owned by Microsoft.

While Xbox is notorious for letting fans down, we may actually see this year’s news play out in a bit more exciting fashion with the two remasters being released in Q1.

But at the end of the day, we all really just want Elder Scrolls VI.
