Take a gander at Metal Gear Solid Delta’s PC system requirements.
After the critically acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake, Konami is now gearing up to launch Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PC and current-gen consoles. It’s an UE 5 game, though, like Mafia: The Old Country, so if you’re a PC player, you’re probably wondering about Metal Gear Solid Delta’s system requirements.
This new version of MGS 3 is a remake (not reimagining) of the 2004 Kojima classic, and doesn’t feature new levels, story, or gameplay beats. In a way, this makes it a more sophisticated experience.
That said, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is still a visually striking title that looks, plays, and feels like a modern AAA game. As such, you can find a complete breakdown of the Metal Gear Solid Deta PC system requirements, including minimum and recommended variants, so you know what you’re PC is getting into.
Metal Gear Solid Delta PC minimum requirements

OS Windows 10/11 | Processor Intel i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Memory 16 GB RAM | Graphics RTX 2060 Super (6GB) | Direct X 12 | Storage 100 GB; SSD recommended |
Like most UE5 games, Metal Gear Solid Delta’s minimum requirements are higher than those of other AAA titles. However, it’s on the lower end of titles like Mafia: The Old Country. You will need an RTX 2060 Super, instead of the latter’s RTX 2070 requirement, to run the MGS 3 remake at minimum graphics settings.
The requirements for the processor are also comparatively low, with the Ryzen 5 and i5 series being the base requirement. However, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has a whopping storage requirement, with over 100 GB of SSD space. It’s not surprising by any means, but that doesn’t make it less demanding.

Metal Gear Solid Delta PC recommended requirements

OS Windows 10/11 | Processor Intel i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Memory 16 GB RAM | Graphics RTX 3080 | Direct X 12 | Storage 100 GB; SSD recommended |
Metal Gear Solid Delta’s recommended specifications for PC are in line with most new AAA releases. You will require an RTX 3080 for graphics, but the processor requirements are relatively modest, with Ryzen 5 3600 and i7-8700K being on the starting line.
Fortunately, unlike Mafia: The Old Country, the MGS 3 remake doesn’t demand 32 GB of RAM for high-end play. This should make the new Konami title more accessible for all PC players.
That said, the Steam listing for these system requirements doesn’t explicitly mention the targeted FPS and graphics preset, so there’s no guarantee of what the day one performance will be like.
On a personal note, the Silent Hill 2 remake was poorly optimized at launch (and still is), with our RTX 4080 struggling to maintain 60 FPS at high graphics preset. Structurally, SH 2 is a vastly different title from MGS 3, but it’s still something worth mentioning.
