The PlayStation State of Play event will be a forty-minute showcase and highlight some of the biggest games for the next few months.

Sony’s long-rumored PlayStation State of Play has finally been confirmed. Anticipation is high for this February 12 event as Sony has a long list of anticipated games that have not been announced just yet.

PlayStation State of Play event 2025 takes place on February 12, Sony has revealed on social media. The event kicks off on February 12 at 2 p.m. ET. We have also noted down the time in different time zones for your convenience.

What to expect in the PlayStation State of Play event?

Sony’s PlayStation State of Play event will be a 40-minute showcase highlighting the biggest games coming to the console over the next few months. Anticipation is high for this showcase event with several big reveals and a few sequels expected on February 12. 

Needless to say, fans have already begun speculating about the major title releases for this event. Here are some of the announcements rumored for February 12, 2025.

God of War bundle

Reddit user Feeling-Examination6 has leaked that God of War (2005), God of War 2, and God of War 3 will be released as a remastered bundle. The user also correctly revealed that Hell is Us will release on September 4, 2025. This date was accidentally leaked on the official Xbox page, adding some credence to this Reddit user’s rumor/leak. 

Death Stranding 2 reveal

Game developer, Hideo Kojima revealed on Twitter he has been editing the trailer for Death Stranding 2 earlier last week. With the Sony PlayStation State of Play event set for February 12, 2025, it seems the game will officially be revealed during this event.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

PlayStation had accidentally leaked a Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer confirming an August 28 release date. While this is not 100% confirmed, considering the developer’s strong ties with Sony’s PlayStation, a gameplay reveal or announcement at the February 12 event is not out of the question.

Ghost of Yotei

The Ghost of Yotei trailer went live four months ago. This game might just be the next big hit could also find an announcement slot in the PlayStation State of Play event. 

There might be some information on Marvel’s Wolverine, however, without many leaks or information, this might be a far-fetched rumor. PlayStation has mostly dealt  with the Spider-superhero from the Marvel universe, so it would be exciting to see them venture out more into the Marvel universe.
