GeoGuessr’s World Tour brings the geolocation game across the globe.

GeoGuessr is stepping up its esports game with the announcement of the GeoGuessr World Tour. For the first time in its history, the competitive geolocation game will visit a number of locations across the globe. The circuit will feature three Major regional tournaments leading into the World Finals in Copenhagen. With a prize pool exceeding $200,000, this world tour is a groundbreaking expansion for GeoGuessr.

GeoGuessr World Tour Majors across Three Continents

The GeoGuessr World Tour kicks off with three regional majors in Asia, the Americas and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Each event will feature the top players from the region battling for a spot in the World Finals. Here's what we know about the Majors.

APAC Major: Tokyo Tower, Japan (May 18)

Partnering with PLAYBRAIN Inc., the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Major will debut in the iconic Tokyo Tower. Players from across Asia will compete for a share of the $17,500 prize pool.

"It’s exciting to see GeoGuessr LAN events debuting in Asia. We’ve seen tremendous growth in the GeoGuessr community here, and we can’t wait to showcase the skill and passion of our local players in front of a live audience!”

Michael Sheetal, founder and CEO of Playbrain Inc.

Americas Major: DreamHack Dallas, USA (May 23 to 25)

GeoGuessr World Tour joins the action at DreamHack Dallas for the Americas Major. Matching the APAC's $17,500 prize pool, the event will be held alongside events like IEM Dallas 2025 for CS2 and CDL Major IV for Call of Duty.

“DreamHack unites the best of gaming, creators, and competition – all under one roof. We’re looking forward to inviting tens of thousands of fans to watch GeoGuessr’s finest face off as a part of our ambitious programming lineup.”

Guy Blomberg, director of festivals of DreamHack North America

EMEA Major: Glitched, Jönköping, Sweden (June 13 to 15)

The best players from EMEA will compete at the EMEA Major in Sweden. With DreamHack skipping their classic Jönköping venue, the Glitched gaming festival will bring the action to Sweden instead. Debuting in 2025, the event will feature a massive LAN, expo, and esports tournaments. The EMEA Major will be the final stop of the GeoGuessr World Tour before the Copenhagen finals and will feature a $25,000 prize pool.

"It’s very exciting to host GeoGuessr at Glitched 2025 and host some of the world's best GeoGuessr players coming to Sweden once again. We are planning some really fun competitions and events for all visitors and are sure that we’ll see many new GeoGuessr fans after the weekend. This will be an event to remember!"

Martin Öjes, Glitched founder

Copenhagen to host GeoGuessr World Cup Finals

The GeoGuessr World Tour will culminate at the iconic  K.B. Hallen arena in Copenhagen, Denmark. The event will take place between Aug. 29 and Aug. 30 and will feature the top 16 players from the Majors and the GeoGuessr World League. The event will be the first in GeoGuessr history to feature a $100,000 prize pool. This two-day showdown promises to be the "most exciting and high-stakes GeoGuessr event ever."

Tickets for the Americas and EMEA Majors alongside the World Finals are on sale now. The year 2025 is set to be massive for GeoGuessr, with the game's audience growing greatly in recent years. The historically Europe-centric game will tour three continents this year.
