Adam is one of the non-playable support characters in Stellar Blade. The handsome scrapper guides the player - and EVE - using his remote drone. Adam provides clues and advice on how to traverse the apocalyptic Earth and defeat enemies. But who is Adam and what is his backstory?
Who is Adam in Stellar Blade?
Adam’s official description, according to PlayStation, is “a scavenger who roams the devastated land. Adam spends his days gathering resources that help keep the city of Xion and its remaining human inhabitants alive.”
Adam looks set to help EVE throughout her journey as a support NPC, with the other being Lily. You first meet Adam in the demo of Stellar Blade right after the fight that seemingly kills Tachy. He then rescues Eve on his motorcycle-like vehicle.
The next interaction we see between the pair happens after reaching the first Supply Camp - ahead of facing the first major boss Abaddon. We see a flashback of Adam treating EVE, after her battle with the Alpha Naytiba in the opening sequence. Adam manages to heal her, but at the cost of his limited supply of Exospine materials.
The two decide to form a partnership to hunt down the Alpha Naytiba together, who EVE and Tachy were overpowered by in battle.
What does Adam do?
For Eve, Adam is a constant companion in the form of his remote drone. As seen in the demo, Adam guides Eve through a ruined city and teaches her about Earth. Functionally, Adam provides exposition and gives the player hints or advice as they learn the ropes. Later on, Adam introduces Eve to Xion, the last city on Earth.
"There's a city where other survivors, besides me, live. It's called Xion, humanity's last city. Help me save Xion, and if you do I promise Oracle and I will do everything we can to help you on your mission."
Adam looks set to be a crucial character in Stellar Blade, despite the player not actually seeing him for most of the time. Since Stellar Blade is obviously not hiding its biblical influence, we can safely assume that given his name, Adam will be extremely important to Eve and to the plot of the game.
Is Adam a playable character in Stellar Blade?
No, players will not be able to play as Adam. Eve will be the only playable character in the game according to the developers. He will instead be a support character alongside Lily. You will also be able to customize Adam with different outfits just like EVE.
