Hearthstone 27.0 patch notes – it’s time for the TITANS

The 27.0 update will come tomorrow but we already know all the details coming from Hearthstone patch notes.

Patch notes for the 27.0 Hearthstone version are out and come with everything we need to know about the upcoming TITANS expansion. While the new set will launch on August 1, all the necessary files will be available for download with tomorrow's patch so you can jump right into the gameplay the following Tuesday.

Let's go over what this 27.0 Hearthstone patch notes bring.

Hearthstone 27.0 patch notes: expansion content

The X.0 patches are the ones that bring all the goods in preparation for the next expansion. They are mainly focused on constructed content, in this case, the TITANS expansion that will go live on August 1, and while the 27.0 Hearthstone patch notes don't bring any breaking news, it's worth doing a recap of what's to come.

The new TITANS expansion will bring some unique content, like new Keywords, mechanics, Signature Cards and much more. For you not to feel overwhelmed we've made guides for you to take one bite at a time.

Below you can find our guides and articles referring to the TITANS expansion and the new features coming to Hearthstone described in the 27.0 patch notes.

Celebrating TITANS with the Ulduar Grand Championship event

  • 2 Standard Packs
  • 1 Golden Standard Pack
  • 1 Festival of Legends Pack
  • 2 TITANS Packs
  • 1 Death Knight Hero Skin!

You will be able to get Event XP to unlock this loot via special event Quests or by simply playing the game. The Uldar Grand Championship will last until August 22, so you'll have time to get every reward.

Hearthstone Battlegrounds 27.0 patch notes

The 27.0 Hearthstone patch notes bring some news to Battlegrounds as well. Starting on Tuesday 25 we will see two new Quests, as well as some other minor balance adjustments.

Gilnean War Horn: Add [a specified “Battlecry” minion] to your hand. Your Battlecries trigger an extra time.
Gilnean War Horn: Add [a specified “Battlecry” minion] to your hand. Your Battlecries trigger an extra time.
Turbulent Tombs: Add [a specified “Deathrattle” minion] to your hand. Your Deathrattles trigger an extra time.

On top of these new Quests, the 27.0 Hearthstone Battlegrounds patch notes mention the following Rewards updates:

  • The following Quest Rewards are now more difficult to earn:
    • Endless Blood Moon; Sturdy Shard; Volatile Venom; Doppelganger’s Locket; Hidden Treasure Vault
  • The following Quest Rewards are now easier to earn:
    • Boom Squad; Map of the Unknown; Ice Sickle; Bloodsoaked Tome; Snicker Snacks; Scepter of Guidance; Timeline Acceleration; Ritual Dagger; Anima Bribe; Mirror Shield

Also, some Heroes are seeing a change in the Armor they get as a balance measure:

The following heroes now have less Armor:

  • Cariel Roame now has 6 Armor
  • Chenvaala now has 15 Armor at higher ratings, still has 12 Armor at lower ratings

The following heroes now have more Armor:

  • Trade Prince Gallywix now has 8 Armor at higher ratings; still has 10 Armor at lower ratings
  • Queen Wagtoggle now has 13 Armor at higher ratings; still has 7 Armor at lower ratings

Arena rotation

The TITANS expansion will bring an Arena shake-up too. The 27.0 Hearthstone patch notes reveal that starting on August 1, Arena will see its classic set rotation. The following sets will be part of the Arena card pool:

  • Core
  • Saviors of Uldum
  • Ashes of Outland
  • Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
  • March of the Lich King
  • Path of Arthas
  • Festival of Legends
  • TITANS

This means that TITANS cards will show up on drafts even before the expansion launches, so if you want to try them out before everyone, go for an Arena run.

Talking about Arena Runs, the rotation mentioned in the 27.0 Hearthstone patch notes mean that this is the time when you can get some free packs even if you don't play Arena (or Duels). We have written a guide on that for you to take advantage of this legal trick that grants you free resources.

Hearthstone Duels 27.0 Patch notes

Patch notes mention that the current Hearthstone Duels season will end tomorrow, with the 27.0 update. This means that if you want to get the free ticket, you need to start a run before that.

On top of that, Diablo will no longer be an eligible Hero in the format. Moreover, Ashes of Outland will be added to the deckbuilding and card pool offerings and also TITASN will be part of the game mode. This last addition will happen only after the expansion launch on August 1.

Twist Beta ending

As it was announced prior to these 27.0 Hearthstone patch notes, Twist Beta period will end on July 31. This was expected and it's a way for them to take on the feedback and plan for a full launch.

"Thank you all for trying out this new Mode and giving your feedback! Twist is scheduled to formally launch on September 1, with a new format and a fun surprise. Stay tuned for more details closer to launch."
