A 5-star Quantum character is heading to Honkai Star Rail. One of the Ten Stonehearts no less!
NPC Jade is now a confirmed upcoming 5-star playable character in Honkai Star Rail, and thanks to leakers we already know her kit.
Jade's first appearance is brief during the 2.1 story quest, and much like Aventurine and Topaz, she is one of the Ten Stonehearts. Here’s everything we know about about Jade, including expected release date, leaked kit, Element and Path.
Jade Warp and release date
Jade's expected release date is during Phase 2 of Honkai: Star Rail version 2.3 coming in early July 2024.
She will likely premier after the release of Firefly.

Honkai: Star Rail Jade Light Cone, Path, and Kit
Jade is a Quantum Light Cone character on the Erudition Path, and the leaks paint her kit as a potent damage character with a risky buff.
She is the second character with this combination of Element and Path in Honkai Star Rail after Qingque. Jade’s predecessor is often considered one of the best 4-stars in the game thanks to her impressive damage output that rivals many higher-rarity characters.
There are already a few leaks detailing Jade's kit, and it will add a brand new buff to the game with both a risk and a reward.
- Skill - Jade deals damage to an ally or herself to boost the target's speed. If Jade targets herself, she will also gain energy and deal additional Quantum damage. Jade gains energy whenever the buffed target attacks.
- Ultimate - Jade deals a large amount of Quantum damage to all enemies in a fight. Her Follow-up Attacks will then deal additional Quantum damage.
- Passive - Jade gains stacks whenever she or a buff target attacks. After reaching enough stacks, Jade gets guaranteed Follow-up Attacks on all enemies and deals additional Quantum damage.
- Technique - Jade summons her snake to inflict Blind on enemies.
With the exception of her Blind Technique, Honkai Star Rail's Jade has an all-in damage kit designed to take down the enemy team all at once. Her unique buff is especially useful with another constant attacker in the party, though players will have to mitigate the HP loss. She presents a considerable risk to fragile teams, potentially turning any attacker into a glass cannon while also nuking the enemy lineup.
Hoyoverse will likely confirm the Warp order during the Honkai Star Rail 2.3 developer livestream. The show should also clarify Jade's kit as a dedicated damage dealer. She could also make an appearance during the upcoming 2.2 developer livestream, though the developer will probably not reveal her mechanics just yet.
Appearance
Jade’s drip marketing image includes a massive purple snake that appears to be related to her Honkai Star Rail Quantum powers and kit. The snake is holding what looks like an orb in its mouth. However, it could also be a fruit, related to the Biblical story of Adam and Eve. Foreshadowing of a sinister personality? Time will tell.
