Honkai Star Rail 4.0 brings Trailblazers to the Astral Express’ next destination planet, Planarcadia! Here’s what we know.
Honkai Star Rail just revealed a whole slew of characters players can look forward to meeting! Here's what the next planet, Planarcadia, has in store for us. Get ready to meet some new and familiar faces, transformed by Aha and the Elation. Planarcadia is the game's newest planet, coming to Honkai Star Rail version 4.0. Its environments are heavily inspired by games and the arcade, resulting in a colorful, exciting, and definitely not boring adventure.
Planarcadia in Honkai Star Rail 4.0
After an extended version 3.8, the Astral Express is finally ready to head to its next destination: Planarcadia. This is a world heavily inspired by arcade, and it is evident in the vibrant and screen-filled corners of the planet.
From what the Special Program Livestream showed, some gameplay aspects are even reminiscent of classics like Super Mario Bros.! This is fitting for the planet dubbed as "Aha's playground."
Upon landing, the Astral Express crew will get to participate in the "Phantasmoon Games," where they will compete to become an "Aeon for a Minute."
Planarcadia is also Himeko's homeland. According to local legends, the planet used to be a flat "World in Canvas," but the IPC transformed it into the bustling hub of entertainment of clout that we will get to experience.
Aptly enough, the livestream also confirmed Honkai Star Rail's collab with Fortnite, which involves Kafka and Blade.
Path of Elation, new characters for Honkai Star Rail 4.0 and beyond!
This update will add a new playable Path, too! The Path of Elation is making its entrance in this update with two characters: Sparxie and Yao Guang.
Yao Guang, Fu Xuan's senior and the advisor of the Xianzhou Alliance, is the second new character of the patch. She is a 5-star Physical Elation character and acts as a support, especially for other Path of Elation units. Her banner will be on the first half of the patch.
Sparxie is a 5-star Fire Elation character, and is the hottest streamer in Planarcadia. She opens her stream in battle, and you can shower her with gifts (Skill Points) to generate Punchlines for the team and deal massive damage. Sparxie's banner will be on the second half of the patch.
More upcoming characters have been teased, including Evanesecia, who would be familiar to fans of the Honkai franchise, Nihilux, and Ashveil.
Out of these three, only Ashveil is confirmed to be playable by Honkai Star Rail version 4.1.
Sparxie, Yao Guang, and the whole Planarcadia planet becomes playable in Honkai Star Rail version 4.0, which goes live on Feb. 13, 2026.
