KPL Dream Team, a Chinese powerhouse team consisting of players from five different teams, dominates the Honor of Kings (HoK) X EWC 2024, also known as HoK Invitational Midseason 2024, without dropping even a single match.

Held in Riyadh from August 1 to August 5, the tournament featured twelve teams. The KPL Dream Team HOK emerged victorious, taking home $1,000,000 USD and an additional $50,000 USD for the MVP, Yinuo.

KPL Dream Team triumphs with 100% win rates

KPL Dream Team entered HoK X EWC 2024 as the tournament's favorite, powered by five experienced players from the land of the creator of Honor of Kings. With a 100% win rate, they averaged 11 minutes and 9 seconds per match, with their fastest victory clocking in at just 7 minutes and 46 seconds.

The tournament highlighted the significant skill gap between the KPL Dream Team and other international teams. This was the first international tournament since the global launch of Honor of Kings in June 2024 that included Chinese teams, underscoring the prowess of the KPL Dream Team.

HOK X EWC 2024 prize pool distribution

Along with the $1,000,000 USD prize money, KPL Dream Team earned 1,000 EWC club points, boosting their club position to 5th as of August 4.

Runner-up LGD Gaming MY also secured a spot in the upcoming Honor of Kings Championship 2024, set to take place in Indonesia this October.

What is the KPL Dream Team?

The King Pro League (KPL), the premier Chinese HoK franchise league, selects its Dream Team through a rigorous process. This team represents the league’s historical achievements, skills, and influence on a global stage, embodying the spirit of Honor of Kings esports.

The selection involves fan voting and professional evaluation, with players ranked based on combined scores from both. The top player in each position, the five highest-ranked players outside those positions, and the top two coaches form the 12-man Dream Team.

For EWC 2024, the selected players were Fly (Rogue Warriors), Pang (Wolves), Rong (eStar Pro), Yinuo (AG Super Play), and NoFear (JD Gaming).

The next major international Honor of Kings tournament is the Honor of Kings Championship 2024, featuring 16 top teams from around the world. Scheduled for October 2024 in Indonesia, the tournament boasts a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD.
