The World Champions 2024 are tough opponents indeed. However, Anyone’s Legend proved to be extremely strong as well. This semifinal is an epic battle!
For the first time in the League of Legends event at Esports World Cup 2025, two teams with playoff byes face each other. Anyone's Legend (competing as AG.AL) and T1 defeated their initial opponents, albeit with difficulty, and have now faced off for a spot at the grand final.
In theory, T1 secured a fairly passable quarterfinal: MKOI from the LEC. Everyone knows how dominant Korean teams are versus Western contenders. T1 won, but the match was unexpectedly close, with MKOI taking one game.
AG.AL is a somewhat new org on the international LoL esports scene. In fact, their first big event was the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 (MSI 2025), and AL finished third. It was T1 who defeated Anyone's Legend, 3:2.
To play in this semifinal and hope for revenge, AG.AL faced another formidable Korean team: Hanwha Life Esports, the champions of First Stand 2025. It would be a mistake to underestimate this roster!

Anyone's Legend vs T1: One ticket to the grand final
T1 won the League of Legends Esports World Cup in 2024, and they sure were eager to repeat this success. Only Doran has not lifted the EWC trophy in the current roster — he joined T1 later.
Anyone's Legend has a great period, and T1 really struggled to show their true level here. It was their only chance to advance to the grand final.

Match recap
Not many people in the League of Legends community expected such dominance from Anyone’s Legend, and no betting odds predicted that. T1 was absolutely destroyed in game 1, with no chance at all. They tried to recover with some risky moves in game 2, and that did not work out.
With this amazing victory, Anyone’s Legend reached their first international grand final in their first year of international LoL esports events.
T1 is not fully out. They play for 3rd place on July 20.
Game 1
This was an extremely one-sided game. Anyone's Legend smashed T1 super hard!
Everything started with a great gank on Gumayusi. Then, AL targeted T1’s AD Carry a lot, and the kills fell where they should — for Lucian of Hope.
T1 sure took two Dragons, but they were losing all the fights. Anyone's Legend accumulated an impressive early advantage, got a bunch of crucial objectives, killed everyone on the T1 side, and just won game 1 in the LoL EWC 2025 semifinal.
Game 2
AL’s path to domination started with a clever move: they let T1 take a Dragon but then attacked and earned their first three kills. After that, a lot went well for Anyone's Legend. They accumulated kills and secured objectives.
T1 surprised AL with their late-game comeback attempt. When it looked like there was no chance for T1 against AL at the LoL EWC 2025, the Korean team secured Baron and won some good fights after that.
Still, the risky play did not pay off fully. T1 initiated a fight and lost it. With only Doran left alive, Anyone's Legend rushed for a siege and destroyed T1’s Nexus.
The second team in the grand final is the winner of the match between Gen.G and G2. The decisive match of the LoL EWC 2025 happens on July 20.
