The Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf novel first released on Feb. 18 after a pre-order period, however, according to Riot Games, League of Legends and Arcane fans can now purchase it in the U.S. and U.K. Read on for details plus other upcoming release dates!
Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf novel
Written by C.L. Clark, this novel is all about Ambessa Medarda's journey 10 years before the events of the Arcane series. Ambessa's goal is to become the head of the Medarda. However, she must win a power struggle against her cousin Ta'Fik. The story also goes into Ambessa as a Noxian warrior general and as the mother of Mel.
In an interview with esports.gg, Clark shared her thoughts about this. She said that she enjoys writing powerful characters like Ambessa — especially when that power is actually a mask for vulnerabilities.
"Getting a chance to dive into the backstory of a woman so powerful and self-assured as the Ambessa we meet in Season 1 and Season 2 of Arcane was especially rewarding," Clark said. "Especially in Season 2, where she seems invincible. In the book, I had a chance to peel all that armor away and show the woman beneath."

Ambessa novel release dates
As noted, this novel was released on Feb. 18. However, it's now available to buy in the U.S. and U.K. Other publication dates include March 20 in Spain via Penguin Random House, March 26 in Poland thanks to Insignis, and Sept. 4 in France through Mana Books.
"Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf will also be published in Germany, Hungary, Italy, Turkey and additional territories, with new regions and publication dates to be announced," Riot Games also revealed in an official announcement.
