Keria will be absent from the Red Bull of Its Own event to rest. Untara will replace him and we’ll probably have a T1 special guest.
Ryu "Keria" Min-seok won't participate on the Red Bull of Its Own is happening on Dec.15 in Paris, France. The event will give fans more League of Legends off-season action with T1 and European teams competing against each other.
Keria is coming back from military service
Jeong Hoi-yoon, also known as Becker and T1's general manager, announced that Keria won't be part of the official lineup for the upcoming Redubll event. The decision was based on how Keria must rest after his military service. This is also an opportunity to take a break until the start of the new season.
As a Korean, every male citizen must comply with military service. However, some people have their time reduced. "Athletes who have won medals in the Olympics, or specifically a gold medal in the Asian Games, are exempted from active duty," according to an official Korean media outlet. Keria had his time reduced to only three weeks.
Untara will be playing
The former player and now T1 streamer, Park "Untara" Ui-jin will make his comeback to play in Keria's place during the Red Bull of Its Own event at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. This is exactly where T1 played the quarterfinals and semifinals of this year's League of Legends Worlds Championship (LoL Worlds 2024) event.

Becker also talked about a possible "special guest" to make an appearance during the event. It could be an SK Telecom T1 legend, retired player, or maybe other streamers or content creators. Becker didn't give us any clues.
Official T1 roster
Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon might be appearing at the event to play in his first game wearing the T1 colors. There's no information about the remaining roster not participating, so we might see Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, and Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyung playing at the event as well.
Which European teams will be participating?
The confirmed participation will be Karmine Corp, NNO Old, G2 Esports, Gentle Mates, and, most recently, Los Ratones — the team formed by Twitch streamer Caedrel. However, there is no information about what players will be taking some time to rest or play at the event. We hope to see the majority of the main rosters, with some exceptions like Keria.
