With the newest League of Legends LCS event Season Kickoff almost here, we're taking a look at the major region representative teams who will face off to make it to this brand-new event.
LCS 2023 Kickoff: Why are there so many major region teams?
If you’ve been looking at social media recently you might have seen the major regions posting their multiple teams for the Season Kickoff event. Each region will get to broadcast its teams to show off their talent, and for the smaller regions this will likely mean fewer teams.
But for the major regions, they will have multiple teams who will play each other first and then the overall winners of these matches will progress onto the main event to play for their regional pride. The way teams work for this event is based on the region and will likely differ from region to region, especially wildcard regions compared to major regions.
