Twelve of the best teams to take part in MSI 2024.

The first international event of League of Legends professional play for 2024 is almost here! Check out all the qualified teams for LoL MSI 2024 here.

This year's League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2024 is scheduled to begin on May 1st, culminating on May 19th, 2024.

All Qualified Teams for MSI 2024

Four teams, the winner of each Spring Split from LCK, LPL, LEC, and LCS, qualify straight to the Bracket Stage.

Team Liquid

  • Top: Jeong "Impact" Eon-young
  • Jungler: Eom "UmTi" Seong-hyeon
  • Mid: Eain "APA" Stearns
  • Bot: Sean "Yeon" Sung
  • Support: Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in

After their win in LCS Spring 2024, Team Liquid is the first team to qualify for the Bracket Stage of MSI 2024. Despite how the region is memed on, there are reasons why you should be excited for TL.

One such reason is "General UmTi" who finally qualified for an international event after seven years of being a professional player. UmTi was a mainstay jungler in the LCK before joining the LCS team but was never able to take his talent to the international stage.

Another reason for excitement is mid-laner APA, also known as "alwaysplanahea." It's always nice to have an NA mid-laner represent the region in internationals. He also spiced up the LCS Spring 2024 Playoffs with his all chats, and we can only hope he brings the same energy to MSI.

G2 Esports

  • Top: Sergen "BrokenBlade" Çelik
  • Jungler: Martin "Yike" Sundelin
  • Mid: Rasmus "Caps" Winther
  • Bot: Steven "Hans Sama" Liv
  • Support: Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle

G2 Esports qualified by winning the LEC Winter Split. Depending on how the Spring Split goes, they may qualify straight to the Bracket Stage.

Many say that G2 runs the LEC, and the numbers support this statement. They brought back the lane swap strategy in the West (yes, we know NIP did it first) and demolished BDS with it in the LEC Spring 2024 Playoffs.

Can G2 Esports contend against the other teams in MSI 2024? There's only one way to find out.

FlyQuest

  • Top: Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau
  • Jungler: Kacper "Inspired" Słoma
  • Mid: Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen
  • Bot: Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek
  • Support: Alan "Busio" Cwalina

FlyQuest is an interesting case. It has an incredibly experienced top side of the map combined with an amateurish bot lane duo. It would be interesting to see how this configuration of players will perform versus the world's best teams in MSI 2024.

Gen.G Esports

  • Top: Kim "Kiin" Gi-in
  • Jungle: Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu
  • Mid: Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon
  • Bot: Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan
  • Support: Son "Lehends" Si-woo

Gen.G Esports ran LCK Spring 2024, dropping only one series during the regular season. They were domestic powerhouses and every player is remarkable in their own right. They blazed through playoffs, and their domination quickly sent them to the Grand Final and qualified them for MSI 2024. If they win the season, they get sent straight to the Bracket Stage.

GAM Esports

  • Top: Trần "Kiaya" Duy Sang
  • Jungle: Đỗ "Levi" Duy Khánh
  • Mid: Nguyễn "Emo" Thái Vinh
  • Bot: Hứa "EasyLove" Thành An
  • Support: Phạm "Elio" Thạch Nhân Băng

GAM Esports had to get new mid and bot laners after the VCS betting fiasco. This is the team that won VCS Spring 2024 - beating Viking Esports who had to replace 4 players. Interestingly, the scandal caused the return of Lê "SofM" Quang Duy to pro play. SofM's return to the Rift was as a Support player for Viking, but they were only able to take one game off GAM in the final.

PSG Talon

  • Top: Huang "Azhi" Shang-chih
  • Jungle: Yu "JunJia" Chun-chia
  • Mid: Huang "Maple" Yi-tang
  • Bot: Lu "Betty" Yu-hung
  • Support: Lin "Woody" Hung-yu

PSG Talon has many familiar names on their roster like JunJia and Maple. Like GAM, PSG Talon also had a unique path to be one of the teams qualified for MSI 2024. Riot Games recently decided to let the PCS absorb the Japanese LJL region, so PSG played against Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS Gaming in the PCS final.

Had the Hawks won, this would have spelled the return of Shunsuke "Evi" Murase back to the big stage.

Estral Esports

  • Top: Cristóbal "Zothve" Arróspide
  • Jungle: Brandon Joel "Josedeodo" Villegas
  • Mid: Cristian "cody" Yampara
  • Bot: Brian "Snaker" Distefano
  • Support: Gabriel "Ackerman" Aparicio

Estral Esports qualify after winning LLA Opening 2024, bringing Josedeodo back under the limelight. They beat Rainbow7 in the final, who notably had Park "Summit" Woo-tae as their top laner.
