The Spirit Blossom Festival is just around the corner, and League of Legends is set to unveil a stunning new map design for the next season.

Seasons change as well as the League of Legends map theme. Following the new Spirit Blossom season, you'll see a different map aesthetic for Summoner's Rift. Enter the world of Ionia's most-awaited festival.

Bases

Your base will be the first thing you'll notice as soon as you spawn in the game. The Noxus-theme towers and nexus will be replaced with new elements and towers with representations of female figures. The bases will look lighter, with more nature and divine elements such as flowers, water courses, and more.

Towers

The new towers are very similar to Sona and Ashe. From the developers' video, we know Ashe is not from Ionia but she is representing the wandering queen who guides souls to the spirit realm. Lore-wise, even though Sona is now living in Demacia, she was born in Ionia where she learned the real power of her signature instrument.

Spirit Blossom theme

Overall, the map will look much lighter, flowery, and spring-inspired. You'll see more of a green and pink color palette. The new League of Legends map will follow the season's theme, something that Riot Games announced at the beginning of the year. In season two it will be Spirit Blossom, which means that not only will the map change, but the skins and other game elements will be different from past seasons.
