How the League of Legends Battle Pass works
The League of Legends Battle Pass replaces the Event Pass. This Battle Pass lets players track and earn rewards such as skins, emotes, titles, borders, icons, banners, and more. Players earn experience in the Battle Pass by simply playing League of Legends and completing various missions, including daily, weekly, act-long, event, and mastery ones. Each Battle Pass has 50 levels, and players who go beyond that can get Blue Essence and Orange Essence.

- Level 20: Masque of the Black Rose Elise skin (free)
- Level 30: Masque of the Black Rose Samira skin (paid)

- Level 50: Prestige Masque of the Black Rose Katarina skin (paid)
According to LeagueOfLeaks on X, League of Legends players can unlock a bunch of Noxus-themed skins as they progress through the Season 1 Battle Pass. Additionally, according to Riot Games, the free Battle Pass features two free skins. The first freebie is a unique seasonal one. Meanwhile, the second skin is a random one worth 1,350 RP or lower.

- 1,650 RP: Battle Pass
- 2,650 RP: Battle Pass, 10 Battle Pass levels, champion's Prestige skin, and Prestige emote
- 3,650 RP: Everything in the above Battle Pass, 25 Mythic Essence, and a Prestige chroma
As noted, the free version of the Season 1 Battle Pass lets players earn two skins. Meanwhile, if folks wish to unlock the rest of the skins, then they must get a paid version of the Battle Pass for 1,650 RP and up.

In terms of League of Legends Season 1 Act 1 Battle Pass release date, it's slated for Jan. 9. This coincides with the launch of patch 25.S1.1, which also features gameplay and visual updates, a new ranked season, plus the Radiant Serpent Sett Exalted skin.
