League of Legends teams in EWC

The Esports World Cup 2024 will feature a total of eight teams. The tournament will welcome the top two teams from the Spring 2024 season of each major region (LCK, LPL, LEC, and LCS). All teams were invited and no additional qualifier was conducted for EWC.

The EWC LoL teams are the same ones as the MSI 2024 teams of each respective region.

After a dismal performance in MSI 2024 where FlyQuest couldn't make it out of the Play-In Stage, they now look to redeem themselves in the EWC. The organization acknowledged the EWC and the potential personal conflicts it may cause their staff.

"We understand that the EWC is a unique proposition, and as such, we will encourage each one of our players, coaches and staff members to decide for themselves whether they want to participate," wrote FlyQuest on X. "We will support all members of FlyQuest, regardless of whether they choose to participate in the EWC or not."
