T1
Player Role | Choi "Zeus" Woo-je Top | Moon "Oner" Hyeon-joon Jungle | Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok Mid | Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong Bot | Ryu "Keria" Min-seok Support |
T1 is the reigning world champions, fresh off their win from Worlds 2023. They came into MSI 2024 as the second seed from the LCK, and they blazed through the Play-In Stage. To qualify for the Bracket Stage, they beat both Estral Esports and FlyQuest in a 2-0 fashion.
Their series with FlyQuest was recorded to be the fastest international best-of-three (Bo3) played. Game 1 ended in under 18 minutes, and the two games back-to-back only took about 40 minutes.
Top Esports

Top Esports are the second seed from the Chinese LPL region. Many members of this team are familiar with the pressure of international tournaments, but not Creme. MSI 2024 is the 20-year-old mid-laner's first international event, and he's done well so far.
Top Esports qualified for the Bracket Stage by beating LOUD and Fnatic in the Play-In Stage. While they didn't drop any matches, their Bo3 against Fnatic was close. Fnatic even took a game off TES in this series.
Fnatic
Player Role | Óscar "Oscarinin" Muñoz Jiménez Top | Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz Jungle | Marek "Humanoid" Brázda Mid | Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek Bot | Yoon "Jun" Se-jun Support |
Fnatic is the second seed from the EMEA region. They have a Korean bot-lane duo, and many hold the pair in high regard. Despite all this, the topside of Fnatic is nothing to scoff at. They all have their individual strengths that managed to shine through in the Play-In Stage.
After they dropped the qualification match versus Top Esports, Fnatic had to beat the Vietnamese GAM Esports to advance to the Bracket Stage.
PSG Talon
Player Role | Huang "Azhi" Shang-Jhih Top | Yu "JunJia" Chun-Chia Jungle | Huang "Maple" Yi-Tang Mid | Lu "Betty" Yu-Hung Bot | Lin "Woody" Yu-En Support |
The dark horse of the Play-In Stage is PSG Talon. They are the only representative from the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), which means they are also representing the League of Legends Japan League (LJL) and the League of Legends Circuit Oceania (LCO) league.
PSG Talon has a lot of international experience on their back, and LoL esports fans may recognize them as they frequently represent PCS in international events. However, their qualification to the Bracket Stage surprised many. While their skill level was perceived to be close to FlyQuest, the result of the do-or-die match between the two was still unexpected. By proving themselves to be the better team versus FlyQest, PSG Talon qualified for the Bracket Stage.
