This win means that T1 keeps their MSI 2024 hopes alive in the lower bracket. The next challenge for them is G2 Esports, the final Western team in the tournament. Also, T1 secured top 4 with this series win vs Team Liquid.

Game 1 had mostly standard picks for both teams. While Team Liquid found some plays in the early game, T1 was better at team fighting in the mid-game. This was an average T1 win — the likes that people expected all games in this series would be.

In Game 2, Team Liquid decided to shake pick-ban a bit. They locked in Samira for Yeon and paired it with CoreJJ's Nautilus. They funneled gold to Yeon's Samira, but even with a Baron steal from UmTi, it was still not enough to match T1's prowess. T1 may have taken this game, but the general sentiment has shifted and Yeon's Samira became NA's beacon of hope for the series from this moment.

Team Liquid finally stopped T1's steamroll and prevented a sweep in Game 3. Thanks to APA's Taliyah, Yeon's Kalista, and one smart Baron call, TL dismantled T1 and things finally looked up for NA fans.

Then came Game 4. Back against the wall, APA locked in his signature Ziggs. Unfortunately for him and Team Liquid, they were up against the wrath of T1. In Game 4, TL was suffocated, cornered, and retaliated upon — and all Ziggs did was blow up in their faces.

T1 advance in the LoL MSI 2024 lower bracket and will face G2 Esports next.
