LoL Worlds 2024 schedule, matches, results, and more

The 2024 League of Legends World Championship (LoL Worlds 2024) event kicks off on September 25, 2024 and features a total of 20 teams duking it out for the gold. Read on for everything to know about the competition, including full LoL Worlds 2024 schedule, matches, format, results, and more!

After the Regional Finals, LoL Worlds 2024 continues with the Play-In Stage from Sept. 25 to Sept. 29. This is followed by the Swiss Stage from Oct. 3 to Oct. 13. Then, the Knockout Stage kicks off on Oct. 17 and culminates in the Grand Final on Nov. 2. The Grand Final features an opening ceremony at 7 a.m. PT before the match begins at 8 a.m. PT.

While the LoL Worlds Play-In Stage and Swiss Stage take place in Berlin, Germany, the Knockout Stage takes place in Paris, France. Finally, the Worlds 2024 Grand Final is situated in London, U.K.

In terms of the format, the Play-In Stage happens first. This stage features eight teams divided into two best-of-three (Bo3), double-elimination brackets. Four teams in total then advance to the Swiss Stage.

In the Swiss Stage, those four teams are joined by 14 more teams. This total of 16 teams then fight in eight best-of-one (Bo1) matches. The advancement and elimination matches after the Bo1 matches are Bo3.

After the Swiss Stage, eight teams get to duke it out in the Knockout Stage under a best-of-five (Bo5), single-elimination bracket.

Finally, the Worlds 2024 Grand Final between the top teams takes the stage at the O2 Arena in London, U.K.
