Riot Games and aespa’s Ningning reveal new track for Wild Rift anniversary

Popular K-pop idol Ningning from aespa is teaming up with League of Legends: Wild Rift ahead of the mobile game’s fifth anniversary.

Korean pop idol Ningning from aespa is teaming up with Riot Games ahead of the fifth anniversary of League of Legends: Wild Rift. Her new track, “Miss This Life,” will be released soon, coinciding with Ningning’s 23rd birthday.

Who is Ningning?

If you’re not a K-pop fan, then you might not know Ning “Ningning” Yizhuo. She is a Chinese singer, producer, composer, and songwriter from the popular girl group aespa. On Oct. 20, aespa’s official Weibo page revealed a new collaboration between Ningning and the mobile game Wild Rift. This collaboration celebrates the game’s fifth anniversary and, more importantly, marks its first partnership with a K-pop artist.

The track, titled “Miss This Life,” will be released on Oct. 23, coinciding with Ningning’s birthday, when she will also turn 23. The cover features several Wild Rift champions holding the game’s official art, adorned with playful doodles.

There isn’t much information yet about the track or its aesthetic, but all you need to do is wait for the official release on Oct. 23. According to Riot Games, this song will allow players "to take you through the Summoner's Rift and find your own exclusive memories!"

Wild Rift fifth anniversary

The fifth anniversary of Wild Rift will bring plenty of surprises for players, including new skins, events, a new ranked season, a battle pass, and many more rewards for the fanbase. Some of the iconic faces of the gaming will be holding a celebratory livestream with big prizes for the watchers on Oct. 23, 5 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. CEST.
