Ruler had his first match back at the LCK after two years. He helped Gen.G win HLE by 2-0 in one of the most anticipated matches of the week.

Known as one of the best attack damage carriers (ADC) in the world, Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk is finally back at the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) after two years at the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) playing for JDG. Against the LCK Summer Split winners, many fans praised the amazing performance of Ruler during both matches. This was one of the most anticipated matches of the LCK Cup 2025.

An anticipated comeback

Ruler played for Gen.G between 2018 and 2022 which made his comeback even more special for the fans. He signed a three-year-long contract which means we will be saying him for a while in the Korean scene.

It's also an iconic moment seeing him playing against Park "Viper" Do-hyeon again almost four years ago in the 2021 League of Legends World Championship (LoL Worlds) semifinals. In 2021, both of them were considered the best ADC in the world so seeing them play against each other was absolute cinema.

Gen.G vs Hanwha Life

In the first game, HLE started strong getting first blood and benefiting from dives on the top lane and a failed dive on Zeus on the bot lane. However, Gen.G was slowly getting their advantage back with objectives and amazing team fights.

Ruler's ultimate playing with Ashe was making the perfect plays for Gen.G. But was the second game that made fans crazy on social media with Ruler's performance playing with Jinx. And was there that we saw an amazing 1v1 between Viper and Ruler.

The Ruler gap

This clip was everywhere on social media. His performance during the game was so good that he was rated 9.7 out of 10. Many people are praising Ruler for his gameplay and attitude in the whole match.

Wadid, an analyst of the LCK Global stream, said: "Happy to see Noxian style ADC back at the Noxian Rift", praising Gen.G for the attitude that was lacking last year. According to him, Gen.G was "too passive" and always looking for the perfect set-up instead of creating opportunities.

Fans even highlighted his scream for a pentakill in the second game, something that Ruler always did during his career. They praise him for not letting that strong attitude disappear even when he left the LCK after so many years of playing there. Even the HLE fans were entering the wave of jokes.

The LCK Cup 2025 has been very interesting so far showing a lot of new sides of pro players we haven't seen yet due to the new season rules such as the Fearless Draft. Don't forget to check all the LCK Cup schedules and match results here.
