MP The King places full trust on new teammates: “Regardless of what happens, I know it will turn out well.”

Twisted Minds PH had a massive roster overhaul this Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 16. The team signed four former MLBB Development League (MDL) PH Season 5 champions, Nine Lives members, to their lineup.  

With that said, it’s a new environment for the retaining main jungler, Michael "MP the King" Endino. But instead of worrying about how the team will perform, he is rather confident with their new lineup. 

In an interview with Esports.gg, MP The King shared how this new lineup changed his mentality from doubting himself to embracing a greater sense of responsibility. One where he now feels it’s his duty to open opportunities for his teammates to showcase their skills.

For most fans, MP The King is known for his unwavering confidence and explosive playstyle in the jungle. However, he shared how, behind the scenes, there was a time when he had doubts. 

"Maybe it was all in my head back then. I was scared to make mistakes because I kept thinking about what my teammates might say. Let’s say, if my teammates had already made so much progress, I didn’t want to drag them down because of my mistake. So the fear came first before the play, and that’s what happened."

Instead of letting past failures haunt him, MP The King used them as fuel. He recalled heavy losses that shaped his perspective and his determination to shield his current teammates from going through the same pain.

"What I really thought about were my past experiences. I know for sure that I’m capable, just one more step, and we can reach it. But just one single mistake, and we might not make it. So maybe that became my strength, to push harder so they won’t experience the same things I did."

This season, MP The King is joined by four former Nine Lives players. This is the squad that topped MDL PH Season 5. For him, the transition felt smoother than expected.

"The real difference is that the four of them are already in sync. It’s just me who has to blend in; I’m the one who has to sync with them. Compared to my past teams, where there were so many adjustments needed, I had to adjust to this teammate, then to that one, and there were just too many changes that took time."

With the core already established, MP The King found himself seamlessly fitting into a system. When asked how confident he is with Twisted Minds this season, his answer came without hesitation.

"Very confident. I have so much trust in my teammates. Regardless of what happens, I know it will turn out well."

Teams competing in the MPL PH Season 16 have one goal in mind: to be the crowned champion. So, it’s kinda redundant to ask about a player’s goal this season. With that in mind, MP The King shared his other goal aside from lifting a trophy.

"My goal this season is probably to help my teammates build their names. I’ve been in the MPL PH for a long time. In a way, I want to help them get recognized—not just here in the Philippines but worldwide—for how strong they are individually, and of course, as a team as well."

For MP The King, it’s about building a legacy. Not just his own, but one shared with his brothers-in-arms.

With that said, Twisted Minds PH will be facing some heavy hitters in MPL PH Season 16 Week 2. Their first match is up against Smart Omega on Aug. 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM (PHT). The second one is the toughest, so far, as they will face Team Liquid PH, the defending champions, on Aug. 31, 2025, at 7:30 PM (PHT).
