MOONTON has pulled the curtains on a stacked roadmap for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports in 2023.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M4 World Championship is still ongoing, but this hasn’t stopped MOONTON from announcing the MLBB esports 2023 roadmap. The roadmap features a continuous lineup of events offering fans MLBB action throughout the year.

MLBB esports 2023 roadmap

This is the first time that MOONTON announced the roadmap for MLBB esports like this, and there's only one word to describe it – stacked. The developer has something lined up in every month of 2023.

Big tournaments including the MLBB SEA Cup and M4 World Championship are set to return. While the developer hasn’t officially announced it yet, both will likely be LAN events.

The complete roadmap is as follows:

  • January: M4 World Championship
  • February: MLBB Women's Invitational
  • February to May: Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) first half, National Leagues in North America, Turkey, and Latin America
  • May: SEA Games 2023
  • June: Mobile Legends: Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023
  • July: World Cyber Games and Snapdragon Pro Series Challenge MLBB
  • August to October: MPL second half, National Leagues in North America, Turkey, and Latin America
  • November: ONE Esports MPL Invitational
  • November and December: M5 World Championship

The MPL will return in 2023 to Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, MENA, and Brazil.

Besides this, the MLBB North America Challenger Tournament (NACT) is also set to take place from February to May. The previous season of the tournament happened as a LAN event in Las Vegas. Fans from North America would be hoping to see another on-ground event in 2023.

In Latin America, the newly-established MLBB LATAM Super League (MLSL) will also be returning with two seasons in 2023. The NACT and MLSL will mark the two big esports events for MLBB outside SEA as MOONTON looks to grow the game globally.

The SEA Games in May is another event to look out for in 2023. The biennial sporting competition, which is sanctioned by the International Olympic Association (IOA), will feature esports for the second time. MLBB is one of the games in the competition as teams from across SEA will fly down to Cambodia to fight for national glory.

MOONTON’s mobile MOBA continues to break records

MLBB esports is currently by far one of the biggest esports in the world. This is evident by the viewership that its tournaments enjoy.

The ongoing M4 World Championship, for example, set a new viewership record for MLBB esports at 4.2 million peak viewers. The continuous growth of the game is a trend that's expected to continue in 2023, and the lineup of events will ensure just that.

However, MLBB esports, perhaps for the first time, will be facing competition from another MOBA title as MOONTON sets its eyes on developing the game globally. Tencent’s Honor of Kings, which was previously only available in China and is one of the most played games in the world, is set to release globally. While MLBB has a huge head start, it remains to be seen how the two games compete against each other.

For mobile MOBA fans, 2023 is set to be packed with action.
