The M6 World Championship consists of three stages. The first one, Wildcard, is pretty much an introduction to the main Mobile Legends M6 excitement. Eight teams participated in it, and only the winner advanced to the next one, the Swiss stage. It’s where the MLBB esports competition becomes really serious.
Throughout five tournament rounds, the 16 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams battle in the M6 Swiss stage matches. Only half of them can advance to the final playoffs: the M6 Knockout stage.
The event demonstrates what is really possible in top-level MLBB esports. All the details of the M6 World Championship are here: the schedule, stream, participants, and results.

The MLBB M6 Swiss stage format
The Swiss stage format is nicely explained in the image below. Teams need three victories to qualify for the MLBB M6 Knockout stage. The first qualified and eliminated teams are determined after Round 3. At the end of each round, there is a draw ceremony to determine matchups for the next series of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang matches.

Round 2
The MLBB esports teams with a win in Round 1 played against each other on the second day of the M8 World Championship. Four winners of these matchups advance to the qualification matches.
The losers from Round 1 battled to avoid downgrading to the Round 3 elimination matches.

Round 3
For the 2-0 teams, Round 3 of M6 Championship was a chance to advance to the Knockout stage. They played best-of-three matches (B03). Two Losers in the 0-2 left the tournament.
On Day 1, KeepBest Gaming eliminated Maycam Evolve from the M6 Swiss stage. KBG won with a confident 0:2.
NIP Flash dominated this Bo1 match vs S2G Esports, so they moved to the 2:1 gang. Another team to try to qualify for the final brackets in Round 4 is Falcon Esports, as they performed an amazing comeback in their Bo1 match against Selangor Red Giants.
RRQ Hoshi is the first team to qualify for the Knockout stage of the MLBB M6 World Championship. They lost Game 1 in the match vs Twisted Minds but then recovered and one two very quick Games 2 and 3.
On Day 2, another team was eliminated from the tournament. Aurora won their match against ULFHEDNAR.
In the 1-1 section, CFU Gaming won over Team Vamos, and Team Spirit defeated Team Liquid ID.
Fnatic ONIC PH had close and tough initial games against BloodThirstyKings, but then they dominated decisive Game 3. Fnatic ONIC PH is the second team to qualify for the MLBB M6 World Championship Knockout stage.

Round 4
Only qualification and elimination matches happened in MLBB M6 Round 4. Six 2-1 teams battled on Day1 for three spots in the final playoffs of the World Championship 2024. Three of the six 1-2 teams went home after this.
In a pretty close match, NIP Flash defeated Twisted Minds to advance to the Knockout stage. Falcon Esports joined the qualified teams after their win over BloodThirstyKings. Team Spirit defeated CFU Gaming in their final match of the Swiss stage.
All the lost teams in Round 4 Day 2 of MLBB M6 World Championship have one more chance in Round 5.
Team Vamos survived another day, but they needed to eliminated S2G Esports from MLBB M6 for this. Selangor Red Giants defeated KeepBest Gaming to move to Round 5. Team Liquid ID is another team to join the 2-2 gang for the last set of the Swiss stage matches.

Round 5
It was the final set of matches at the MLBB M6 Swiss stage. Three teams advanced to the final playoffs, and three just went home.
Team Vamos had a dominating match vs BloodThirstyKings, especially game 2.
Even if Twisted Minds started both games vs Team Liquid ID with First Bloods and early advantages, their opponents still were super quick with their powerful response. Team Liquid ID turned the situation in their favor and won 2:0 — to advance to the MLBB M6 Finals.
Selangor Red Giants and CFU Gaming exchanged games in the final match of the swiss stage. In the decisive one. CFU Gaming seemingly recovered from an awful early disadvantage and were ready to take down the base of their opponents. But then one amazing team fight allowed Selangor Red Giants to wipe out the entire CFU team and win the match.

Notable MLBB esports teams at the M6 World Championship
15 teams advanced to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship 2024 via the regional qualifiers. One team got their Swiss stage spot thanks to winning the M6 Wildcard stage — ULFHEDNAR.
Here, we highlight some of the teams for their previous achievements in MLBB esports. They are worth your attention at the M6 Championship.
The champions of MLBB M5, Falcons AP.Bren, do not participate in this event.
- The MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024 winners, Selangor Red Giants, play at the M6 World Championship 2024. They are real title contenders.
- NIP Flash were 3rd-4th at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024 but only 9th-12th at M5 World Championship.
- Fnatic ONIC PH reached 2nd place at the M3 World Championship, but they couldn’t repeat this success after that.
- Falcon Esports, a team from Myanmar, were 5th-8th at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024.
- RRQ Hoshi were 3rd at the M4 World Championship.
Many of the MLBB M6 participants are freshly formed organizations or teams that advance to the international scene rarely (or even for the first time). It’s interesting to witness them battling for their place in the tough but exciting Mobile Legends esports.
