Meilin Fisher is an original character in Solo Leveling: ARISE. Netmarble introduced her to the world after a social media campaign on X. According to the lore, Meilin Fisher also goes by the name Bella Fisher. Growing up, she learned she was born overseas and wasn't biologically related to her family in America. However, this never made her sad. No matter her origins, she knew she had a family that loved her.

When Meilin Fisher's parents gave her a weathered note with an unfamiliar name inside of it, she got more and more curious about her roots. Therefore, she left for China. One night after returning home from her adventures, she noticed a cat inside of a cardboard box in front of her house. She named the cat Berry. She bought a bunch of cat supplies and took Berry to an animal hospital, but it was too late.
Time passed and Meilin Fisher awakened as a C-Rank hunter and joined raids to cope with losing Berry. One day, she felt nervous in a dungeon where beasts suddenly attacked her crew. Just as she needed strength, she heard Berry's voice and saw the cat's spirit. This gave her the courage to fight her foes.

With Berry's presence, Meilin Fisher's dungeon runs became easier and easier. She summoned Berry with her weapon and fought alongside him if they had been battle partners forever. When Meilin Fisher reawakened, she went from a C-Rank hunter to an A-Rank one.
According to the lore, although Meilin Fisher knew the summoned beast wasn't really her cat and likely had no emotions, his familiar behavior brought her comfort. Hugging him tightly, she made a vow: "Let's stay together from now on, my precious Berry. My family."
