The Snapdragon Pro Series has arrived: 8 mobile games and $2 million of the prize pool

ESL Gaming and Qualcomm Technologies have opened the global mobile esports ecosystem for players around the world.

Esports tournament organizer ESL Gaming and processor manufacturer Qualcomm Technologies have announced details of upcoming The Snapdragon Pro Series. The global mobile esports ecosystem will include 8 different titles, 3 competitive tiers, and more than $2 million of the prize pool.

Every region gets its own set of games

The Snapdragon Pro Series will feature mobile games of different genres depending on their popularity in the regions. From already announced titles only Brawl Stars will feature in all regions. Players from EU, MENA, and NA will also get a chance to compete in PUBG Mobile, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Asphalt 9: Legends. Free Fire, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra will be part of the Series in the Asia-Pacific region.

Game titles and details about the Snapdragon Pro Series in India and China are yet to be announced.

The Snapdragon Pro Series is open for players of all levels

The global series of tournaments is open for any competitor over 16 from allowed regions. Every title will have its own tournament system with different levels of competition. Some games, like Brawl Stars, will include the full path from open cups to Challenger and Masters Finals. Others, like Asphalt 9: Legends, feature only a set of open championships with big online finals.

“We can’t wait to see the world’s best players battle it out. We have truly created an inclusive ecosystem where everyone can compete. Whether you are a casual player or a seasoned competitive pro, we are looking forward to welcoming you into the Snapdragon Pro Series!”

Kevin Rosenblatt, General Manager, Mobile at ESL Gaming

Viewers and fans will have a chance to follow all final stages of competitions on Youtube and Twitch channels. The final events of the Snapdragon Mobile Challenge and the Snapdragon Mobile Masters ESL plans to host on LAN with a live audience.

For now, tournament organizers announced only one restriction. Since The Snapdragon Pro Series is part of a multi-year agreement between ESL and Qualcomm, participating players will use devices powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile platforms.

The winners get more than just the prize pool

Additionally, ESL made sure to make the Snapdragon Pro Series a part of the official tournament circle from game developers.

Supercell, developers of Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars, already included the Snapdragon Pro Series in the games’ official roadmap. In Clash of Clans, players will compete not only for the prize pool but also for the Golden Ticket. This reward will earn them a spot at the Clash of Clans World Championship Finals 2022.

The winners of The Snapdragon Pro Series in Clash Royale from Europe and MENA will also receive a Golden Ticket. This trophy will give them chance to compete at Clash Royale League (CRL) World Finals 2022.

ESL also announced the partnership with PUBG Mobile. This collaboration will bring the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) into the Snapdragon Mobile Open.

The Snapdragon Pro Series is going to be the first attempt to build a comprehensive ecosystem for mobile esports. And it's not surprising that ESL started concentrating its resources outside PC gaming. Over the past few years, mobile games have not only grown in popularity. They also bypassed the largest tournaments in CS:GO, League of Legends, and Dota 2. And SPS easily may finally rid viewers of doubts about whether mobile games can be considered real esports.
