Love never dies! The Overwatch dating simulator, Loverwatch, is back for Valentine’s Day 2026.
Overwatch's Loverwatch dating simulator is officially back! This browser game first appeared in 2023 and was followed by an exclusive Loverwatch event in China in 2025. However, players who love Genji, Mercy, and Hanzo can now romance them once more.
Loverwatch is back in Overwatch
From Feb. 13 to March 1, you can check out Overwatch's Loverwatch: Love Never Dies dating simulator. This is an online game that can be accessed here. Any in-game rewards from romancing Genji, Mercy, and Hanzo get added to your collection the next time you enter Overwatch itself, too.
These rewards are the same as the ones from 2023. They include the Lovey Dovey Genji, Mercy, and Cupid Hanzo player icons, the Cupid's Kiss highlight intro for Hanzo, plus Genji's Peace and Mercy's Angel player titles.

Overwatch Loverwatch routes
There are three routes you can take in Loverwatch. You can start by romancing either Genji or Mercy. Hanzo's route gets unlocked after you complete those ones.
To romance Genji, pay close attention to Cupid Hanzo's advice. Focus on him, take note of his feelings, and reassure him whenever you can. There are few incorrect choices in the different Loverwatch routes, and if you're already a Genji fan and know of his lore, then his route should be a breeze.

The same goes for the Mercy route in Loverwatch. To win her heart, you should arm yourself with knowledge about her. Get to know the person behind Mercy -- Angela Ziegler -- and you should be golden.

As for Hanzo, he invites you to his realm of love after you complete the Genji and Mercy routes. His route is short yet sweet. He mentions the 2CP map, hands you an arrow from his quiver, and tells you how you brought love to not only Genji and Mercy's hearts, but to his as well.

Is Loverwatch canon?
According to the game itself, Loverwatch isn't canon. However, it's still a fun and light-hearted way to engage with Genji, Mercy, and Hanzo. In an interview with esports.gg, the team behind Loverwatch revealed that they wanted to focus on getting the player character to understand characters more deeply as well.
That's all for now. Stick around on esports.gg for more Overwatch news and updates!
