The new season includes nerfs to Sombra, Ramattra, and Juno plus buffs to Mauga and Sojourn.
A brand-new season of Blizzard's hero shooter is kicking off on Oct. 15, and Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller revealed some hints in terms of what to expect in the Overwatch 2 Season 13 patch notes. Read on for details.
Overwatch 2 Season 13 patch notes
- Ramattra nerf: Punches deal 2.5 times the damage to barriers and no longer pierce barriers
- Mauga buff: Ignite damage over time now lasts 4 seconds
- Juno nerf: Fall-off range is reduced, Mediblaster healing nerfed
- Sojourn buff: Energy no longer holds a minimum of 25, Disruptor shot damage per second increased to 80 and generates Railgun energy
- Sombra nerf: Hack and taking damage reveal her briefly, hacked enemy now locked out for 1 second, hacked B.O.B. now lasts for 3 seconds only, Stealth is now only active for 5 seconds after translocating, Translocator has a longer cooldown, Opportunist passive returns
- Brigitte and Baptiste adjustments
- Matchmaking for the wide pool now focuses on shorter queue times
- Matchmaking prioritizes now matching tank players against each other
- Modifiers related to MMR decay tuned down
- Top 500 leaderboard now requires winning 750 ranked games
Above are all of the upcoming Overwatch 2 Season 13 patch notes as revealed by Keller in his latest blog post. While Ramattra's punches in Nemesis form are getting nerfed, Mauga is getting buffed. Meanwhile, Juno is getting nerfed in the new season. Keller mentioned updates for Brigitte and Baptiste as well, however, his post didn't go into the specifics.
As for the damage heroes, Sojourn is getting buffed while notably, Sombra is getting nerfed in terms of her Hack ability and Stealth. "We’re also giving back Sombra her Opportunist passive which allows you to see targets that are critically injured through walls along with increasing weapon damage over time," Keller added.

In terms of more updates, according to Overwatch Cavalry on X, Season 13 is increasing Hanzo's health from 225 to 250. Meanwhile, Reinhardt's Barrier Field is going down from 1,600 to 1,500. Next, the aforementioned Brigitte adjustment pertains to her Repair Pack cooldown increasing from 5 seconds to 5.5 seconds. As for Baptiste, his primary fire recoil is getting reduced by 30%.
The account also revealed that the Overwatch 2 Season 13 Battle Pass features the Kitten of Discord player title upon reaching tier 175.
In terms of what else to expect in the Season 13, the Circuit Royale, Dorado, Havana, and Numbani maps are getting reworks while there's a slew of new skins to collect via the Battle Pass, Mythic Shop, and regular shop.
